If you sent £10.000 to Thailand via Swift for £10 landing at normal telegtaphic rates If you sent £10.000 to Thailand using Wise who charged you £1000 but applied a much higher exchange rate that gave you a better bottom line as oposed to Swift which then would you use Thats rhetorical....you'd use the provider that gave the best bottom line £1000 fee or otherwise Its basic it really is guys I find it astonishing many cant grasp that here at times (I've exaggerated the £1000 to make the point because I can already see someone jumping in lol)

Thought I'd update this after a successful call to the SCB call centre I had everything in advance they could possibly ask to verify it was actually me from Passport Number Registered Mobile number last few transactions that should have been in the account (and were) and various other possible requests to positive ID myself It was somewhat bizarre to be asked just account number lol and absolutely nothing else relevant Being asked if I had existing SCB loans (random question doubtless) and then some questions about recent logging in with internet access I patiently explain with a laugh that you guys had closed down the website and also told me that the new app could only be activated in branch....Ahh yes he says you're right lol (I asked about the app being activated using the Thai roaming Sim registered and got a load of waffle when a simple No would have done lol) Anyway despite not providing passport number, DOB, Mobile number I was "in" and he confirmed the balance which was spot on within 100 Baht to what I had anticipated Guy had perfect English I might add

UK state pension for me in 2026 should I live long enough is going to be enormous "bonus" because it wont wholly or partly replace existing "employed" status income Have got a fractured NI record but assuming voluntary contributions continue in full till that date am looking at currently 76% of full pension amount (at whatever it is at that date) Over £650 a month (at todays rates) for nothing in my opinion (ok we are all entiled but you get my drift) Literally just under 1000 baht a day at current rates

I wonder if my active still in date SCB debit card with the old 4 digit pin will still work then in a ATM (I tried it years ago successfully).....I havent tried it in the UK for fear of it being eaten Its just occured to me to try it in shop instead using the pin number.
