  1. And if it was a pit-bull then she probably would have been killed. ????‍♂️ This kind of proves the point that those against the owning of pit-bulls are making.
  2. Seven people, with at least one weapon, against one disabled man. Shameless.
  3. Not uncommon for them to believe that it's OK to then attack people to defend their "turf" either. I think the problem is that mafia is involved with so many aspects of Thai commerce, mob violence becomes an inevitability in some situations.
  4. Yup. Quite unpleasant when the Thai Supremacists show themselves with their "rules for thee but not for me". Disappointing. I can understand not wanting land sold off to investors, but at least give the "our ancestors gave their blood" spiel a rest if you have a holiday home in Europe.
  5. So if so much as one foreigner buys a 1 rai plot of land, that will be part of Thailand being annexed by said foreigner? That's some really bad interpretation.
  6. Interesting approach. I suppose it's easier to take just the finger and then demand some money for its safe return.
  7. Probably mostly foreigners. Different culture, different attitudes to death and Western history. Did he come up with it out of the blue, or did he watch the Netflix show? That seems to have made Dahmer (the character at least) very popular in Thailand. What about Che Guevara or Chairman Mao t-shirts?
  8. Do you have to visit twice regardless of whether you are getting a completely new licence or renewing an old licence?
  9. No idea of the actual circumstances, but I could imagine if it was the case that she started an argument, then called the police when he argued back, that would be pretty troubling. Especially if the police then sided with him. Very little protection for foreigners in Thailand. I think a similar things happened to a guy but he set fire to a house before hanging himself. No doubt in an effort to stop it going to the wife.
  10. I'm not trolling at all. You or your landlord are meant to register your address with a TM30 at some point and many procedures ask for a receipt of TM30. That's it. ????‍♂️
  11. Why would you not have one? And if you didn't have one, why would you be applying for something that requires one?
  12. Why not just kill all the rich people and redistribute their wealth? Then put the people in charge?
  13. Surely that should be "an era of hateful speech now from both ends of the political spectrum"?
  14. How can she communicate with you but not with her employer?
  15. If you have home driving licence with no IDP, do you need it to be "certified" by your embassy? That's what some websites seem to suggest.
  16. No quite. He actually did something, not just pose for a selfie behind a desk.
  17. They haven't even proved that they are "Thai bashers" and not simply "people saying something that they don't like about Thailand". That would be the first step. I think it's simply argument ad hominem.
  18. Yes. It's taking place in Thailand. Issue the weapons, note down make, model and serial number. Then have a yearly audit. Any missing guns mean the officers who own them are fired.
  19. The problem is that no one is ever held accountable. It's just the way things are throughout Thailand. Nothing will ever change until Thai culture has a massive shift.
  20. What I found interesting, was that this user began by agreeing with the post he was replying to (about Thai men being genetic supermen with psychic abilities), and saying anyone who doesn't like Thai men must have mental issues, but then moved onto this mini tirade against everyone found living in a city. Presumably most foreigners in Thailand are living in cities. There's a real feeling of "don't make a broad generalisation about Thai men based on years of living in Thailand, the three Thai men I hang out with are all super smart and friendly". That or they seem to be focussing on well educated, upper middle class Thais with good English who holiday abroad, which is not really average. I wonder if these people actually understand how generalisations work.
  21. Whatever floats your boat. I don't like him and have no desire to listen to him.
  22. Take has a reputation for being a bit creepy. He's a kind of "dating guru", but he doesn't have mainstream appeal. I wouldn't listen to anything he says. You can be rich or tough and still be stupid and mean.
  23. Would you say that this description applies generally to most Thai men, or only the ones you socialise with? Does this apply to say, teachers, taxi drivers, manual labourers, government officers, and so on? It's a typical mindset that you are more likely than not to find in any Thai man you meet? Whether in Bangkok or in the provinces? Is that it?
