  2. Indeed. However as pointed out in thread. It's a bad idea. He can transfer funds using WISE or other alternative. The best exchange he would get in Bangkok SuperRich Green head office Silom and that will provide less baht and much more hassle
  3. Was there only one overstay. How long? When? Out of interest have you looked at other options recently added to the menu...LTV, DTV, etc. The LTV age min 50. DTV min age 20. Many feeling (not all) that PE visa dead duck in water. EDIT: OP you made a vague thread regarding renew pp and overstay in April last year. https://aseannow.com/topic/1325486-can-renew-a-passport-while-in-overstay/ You would not even state pp country. Suggest more details in this thread to gain advice.
  4. OP, here is thread and in first post I posted link to appointment. I just tried to make appointment and seems to work. Only concern is all slots were available which is not normal. The thread also points out that process time not too bad unlike eg CW. https://aseannow.com/topic/1333181-link-for-online-appointment-booking-for-hua-hin-immigration/
  5. You are not alone. Leaves a void impossible to fill.
  6. That was exactly my point. @DaRoadrunner All the threads outlining "from visa exempt to Non O" correctly point out that the 800k is only required on day of application (actually needs to be deposited day prior) Those using Jomitien were in for a surprise. Jomitien was requiring 2 months. This was back in day of visa exempt entry was only 30 days. Effectively making the transition from visa exempt to Non O impossible. Keep in mind the application for Non O needs to be made with min 15 days remaining on permission of stay.
  7. Anyone interested in TM28 here is thread created by ubonjoe. https://aseannow.com/topic/1149261-immigration-has-changed-their-regulation-for-a-change-of-address-report/#elControls_15078453_menu Not really on topic however useful information.
  8. Plus ~ 3 hr each way. I don't find 4k return.
  9. Where did you obtain your Non O ME. Is that serious. A roundtrip to HK to avoid space used in pp.. Surely a joke.
  10. It's not from date you entered Thailand. For the first extension there has always been bit of debate. 12 months from date of application for extension (that's my vote) or 12 months from end of the 90 day stamp from your non O entry. @Upnotover may have an opinion
  11. When you enter Thailand eg March 30 with a non O marriage you will receive a 90 day stamp. You need to apply for extension after funds (400k) seasoned for 2 months. You will have an under consideration period to return for final stamp.
  12. Change of address along with address notification is now TM30
  13. You should get the Non O and subsequent annual extensions. You can buy a multi reentry permit and go back and forth UK/Thailand with zero concerns. Yes there is modest financial requirements for Non O and also extensions however that 400k can be used as soon as your extension is approved.
  14. Not sure why TM28 was required
  15. I assumed that you didn't do that. In any event you won't have an issue entering in the future.
  16. No. You obtained the stamp as you were on overstay "few extra days" It's common and no big deal however you had other options and now stamp in pp..
  17. Where did you get married. Thailand? Are you planning to obtain a Non O marriage at local immigration office? https://aseannow.com/topic/1325266-change-from-visa-exempt-to-non-o/ Cut/paste from ubonjoe... "The Kor Ror 3 is your fancy marriage certificate you got from the Amphoe. The Kor Ror 2 is the marriage registry. You or your wife can get one at any Amphoe for 20 baht. Some offices want them to be dated within 30 days of application. My wife gets a new one just before we go to apply for the extension "
  18. There was thread (couple weeks back). Guy had extension from Non O and ran out of time.. Minivan agent from Pattaya... Anyway he had to pay extra because of the Non O. I recommend using an agent now even for Cambodia
  19. The OP in this thread has link to form CW use. At bottom of form are requirements https://aseannow.com/topic/1331063-transfer-immigration-stamps-to-new-passport-third-passport-while-living-in-los/
  20. Some countries no longer issue "letter" immigration is aware of this. No problem. Which immigration office?
  21. This thread concerns border bounce from Pattaya, however might be helpful. https://aseannow.com/topic/1331485-border-run-from-pattaya-in-a-6-seater-vip-van/
  22. Plenty of good agents in Pattaya. One bonus is that Jomitien seem to require seasoning of 2 months for the Non O. Makes it difficult on visa exempt entry. Since he wants to use an agent be aware that most will want him to have agent open a bank account. He will need to obtain Jomitien immigration on day of application also agent can obtain a multi reentry permit at cost 4k.
  23. Just for others...did you provide TM30 with your application
  24. Thanks for report. Why not make an appointment. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/
