Dear Folks, Can anyone explain how to use this NEW Google Docs? I do not understand it. Why is Google Docs making it more, and more, difficult for me to be able to write what I want to write? Why does Google want to WRITE FOR ME, instead of letting my Freak Flag Fly? Someday, soon, will Google Docs become unusable for those who wish to write what they want to write? Will we forget how to write if computers write for us....in time? What is the REAL "plan" behind this new Google Strategy to make humans dumber? Is Google softening us up, and dumbing us down...in advance of.....the Final Countdown to turning the brains of us humans into.... PABLUM? Worried and regards, Gamma Note: For sure, I am worried. Now, whenever I open a Google Gmail....There is always this THING interfering with my cursor, stating that it wishes to POLISH my writing....but WHY? "Help me write Alt + H" This is a CONSPIRACY designed to turn our minds to MUSH, obviously. If you have not yet noticed this, then have you been hiding under a rock? Pls advs....

Anytime I read bad news like the news of this headline.... I just thank my lucky stars that I made the best decision in my life.... I just LIE FLAT in my haven, watching the pigeons come and go. I am in Paradise.... London, these days....is not some place I can visit...ANYWAY.... London of those days is ...GONE..... So sad. I REALLY feel the pain.... Believe me.... ((Last time I flew into Heathrow was in..... 1971..... in the month of JULY.))

This is why I just stay in my compound. Here in my gilded compound, everything is nice and peaceful. No need for me to worry about catching flights to here and there. I have found peace in my compound, relative to the chaos outside. Best decision I ever made. Should have done this sooner. (Only available in THAILAND....for sure.... I love Thailand...!!!)

British Man Sparks Outrage in Thai Restaurant Incident

British Man Sparks Outrage in Thai Restaurant Incident

Once again... Just another vid supplied by TV....warning me.... NEVER venture out, anywhere, there might be.... Restless Farang about. I need not worry about restless natives. I need ONLY worry about restless Farang. I have known this for years. I am happier in my self-imposed solitude with these drunks. Something must be done.... But....WHAT???? -
By the way, Sir... Recently, as of yesterday, I have had a bit of good news, as well, about being FREE. I just received this email sent out to all of us here in the community: This is a time of "uncertainty" for me and those like us. And, here is great news about FREEDOM and Financial Independence at Penn, for example. MONEY is FREEDOM, as we all know. Therefore, it is INCUMBENT UPON US to remain FREE and FINANCIALLY .... LIQUID...but....and... NOT FINANCIALLY.... ICED UP, as so often happens to others who are not.... Fiscally responsible. By this i mean that it is OK to spend more on an AC which works properly and is very well designed. And, doing this will actually SAVE us TIME and MONEY. Never be tempted by the likes of lesser machines, such as TCL, in my view. TCL, also, has a real branding problem since it is too confusing with the initials... TLC (tender loving care). Stay HYDRATED and let us all Stay Free.... AND, may we all preserve our PRECIOUS BODILY FLUIDS....according to what Sterling Hayden cautioned us, in his greatest speach of all time: So, Sir, do your best... Conserve your Precious Bodily Fluids... By any means, and ... By ALL means....!!!

Delaying Cataract Surgery - Any associated dangers?
GammaGlobulin replied to ravip's topic in Health and Medicine
I would say that there could be problems associated with delaying cataract surgery. Just my guess, maybe involving deterioration of the visual processing centers of the brain. We know that if we cover monkey eyes, from birth, with PING PONG balls.... The tiny creatures never develop visual acuity...after the balls are removed. So, this is a thought. -

Too much DRAMA out there on the streets, now that the Visa Gates are now wide open after the pandemic. Too much drama for me. I will now remain in my compound until the next pandemic, probably a much more lethal BIRD FLU, which... We know is coming, just based on Flu Science. Every time I watch a video on TV, this reinforces my resolve to not venture out. And, this reminds me just how very lucky I am. -
I have, as have you, lived in Asia since 1971, but full-time since 1979. Yes, I live free in Asia, and refuse to be burdened by material things, as you also state. Unlike you, perhaps, I have taken my unburdening and freedom to a higher level. I now no longer wear clothes in my compound, even though I keep the ambient room temps in my rooms at 20-degrees C. I am used to this cold temperature in Thailand, now. I would not have it any other way. Once I get my living spaces down to the right degree, I just keep it that way. And, this is the most cost-effective solution. When I have guests visiting, which is once in a Blue Moon, then I put on clothes, obviously. Normally, I just don the Preppy Look. Speaking of being a Preppy, very fortunately, I have never had the urge to murder anyone...unlike... That preppy from Princeton, who is now in the news in America. Allegedly, he seems to have killed his brother, recently, with some sort of golfing iron. As we know, the FIVE-IRON is the most versatile, and good for putting even. I no longer keep a set of clubs in my compound. Golfing and Clubs are for the Caveman. I do not live in a cave, even though I now have my bedroom completely boarded up, and sealed against the... Dust, Noise, and Heat of the Hot Season. YES.... I DO live FREE in Asia, and in Thailand, these days. I love CM, too!!!! I am not a complete hermit, however. I enjoy interacting with my wonderful Thai neighbors. I just hope that they have, by now, stopped seeing me as a Farang...and... I think they have. FREEDOM FREEDOM What a great Havens song....!!!! NOTE: So fortunately, I chose a decent set of ACs, which relieves me of undue worry about ICING ISSUES, something that seems to plague many members here on TV.

Ridiculous Topic. Thai women are not greedy. They are very careful in their spending. They are very family oriented. They spend resources on family. I don't like Farang women because...they are ... Frivolous and spendthrifts, and have lost family values,... And, worst of all...Speak with... Vocal Fry. And getting worse.

Easy. Just give it a slap across the face. Yes. Oil Sands. Should have said oil sands. But too lazy to spell the extra word. Thought nobody would notice. Both dirty, however. And highly polluting to extract. Human Beings are complete and utter FOOLS. So...then...Die. Haha. We will probably all go due to Space Wars, anyway. Nukes in Space is not a good idea. Militarization of space is a worse idea. Humans will never learn, and this is what makes this species so dangerous. Once they have killed almost everything, and nothing much left to kill, then... They just begin killing themselves. Evolved this way, of course. -

If price of oil rises due to some cut-off of Canadian oil to the USA, then this will be a very good thing for America and the World. Let the Canadians keep their shale, which is the dirtiest among hydrocarbons. And, America needs to stop using Canada's oil...like... TOMORROW... Duh... Americans still don't understand this key point. -

Is this a JOKE, or something? Water vapor from a very hot and humid climate like Thailand will condense on the floor, then? And then, you plan to actually walk on it without slipping and sliding around? And then, where does the condensate drain? This has GOT to be the craziest idea of the year.... No....the Century. As an added touch, not make the floors of that super slippery faux/real marble tile that is used in China. Very dangerous .

And now, Folks, I think it is time to address the, as yet unaddressed, part of this Topic, stated in the OP, that of ...Sweat. The OP, atpeace, states that he sweats more than average. However, is this really true? I think not. The OP clearly states that he sweats about "2-3 liters an hour on very hard days", and he seems to think that this means that he is some sort of... Super-Sweater. However, I disagree, and he is much mistaken. Obviously, the OP is not very familiar with Human Physiology, because if he were then he would know that.... Maximum sweat rates per hour, for an adult human, range from 2 to 4 liters. Therefore, just judging by the OP's own reporter, the OP is merely a middling sweater, and not... A super sweater. I have recently investigated the OP's contention and he is just plain average, at least... In the sweating department. There are many research articles which substantiate what I am stating, but the simplest blurb is that of... Wikipedia: So, also, if the OP is sweating only TWO liters per hour, then...we can probably guess that he is just.... Not working hard enough at his "hard day" workouts....because.... This would be my guess. And, just from my own experience, sweating....: When I was younger, I rowed a lot in the noonday Sun, both in Southern Florida, for fun, and in... Philly as part of a crew. This is how I know something about sweat. For example, when you get 8 guys in a shell, rowing up and down the river, for hours... The resultant sweat stays in the boat. And then, when you lift the boat over your heads, upon taking it out of the river....then... The gallons of sweat just pour all over everyone. And, most guys in crew do not wash their shirts and shorts, for weeks. This is true...and it's sort of like a tradition among all crews in Philly....and Just visit any boathouse on the Schuylkill River...because they all smell like... A zoo. So, anyway, this is what leads me to think that the OP might be some old guy, and not a young guy. Young guys sweat more than two liters per hour, EASY, during even a warm up, not to mention this... "hard day" the OP speaks about. But if you really want to know about sweat: Just try rowing an Alden shell in the Florida heat and humidity during summer months. After about 3 hours of steady rowing, then you are bound to have over two gallons of sweat... Sloshing around in the bottom of your boat. In fact, if you forget to bail it out, then there is always the danger of sinking in one of the alligator-infested swamps...which... They call canals in Naples. But they are swamps. So, the reason I mention this is that... Even though many of the statements written in this Topic see unbelievable....for sure.... The OP is not exaggerating when he states... Three liters per hour. =================== So what does this mean in terms of what might be required to compensate for all this sweat? Much of the sweat being sweated does not immediately evaporate. But even still, I would say that one should have planned for this, before one recently purchased an.... Air Conditioner. And so, I would say that if one plans to sweat 3 - 4 liters indoors, in a tiny room... First, please, choose an AC that is rated to remove about 4.1 liters per hour, of water vapor, just as does... The one that I chose, for my bedroom. I don't sweat much in my bedroom, these days. I am too old and celibate to sweat that much. However, if I knew that I were buying an AC for my personal tiny gym...then... I would first read the physiology research and plan for this sweating eventuality. =========================== I have already given this Topic a great deal of thought. As I said, I like this important topic. We can learn from others's mistakes, and this is how humanity progresses... Through passing down culture from one generation to the next, or from one TV member... To the next. ============================ Here are two things among many that I have learned from this Topic: a. Yes, adult humans can sweat up to about 4 liters per hour. b. My Panasonic AC can extract about 4.1 liters of water per hour. c. And, the machine I purchased is JUST marginal for use in a tiny personal gym. d. Yes, adding a fan will help cool the treadmill fanatic. e. But, in order to have a better workout, then do due diligence and choose a machine that will give you 55% humidity or below, at a temp of 23-degrees C, or below. When we are young, we can more easily tolerate temperature and humidity extremes. But when we grow old, we become desiccated organisms and we must make a Conscious effort to stay hydrated, day in and day out....which in turn...leads to... Less stress on our ACs. After reading this Topic, I will probably not be willing to buy an AC with a rating of less than 4.0 liters per hour. And, I am glad that the machines I purchased slightly exceed this minimum.
