  1. I am/was all four, though I hid it well, or thought I did ... ... now I am old, though relative ... was only heavy, in my mind ... drunks never know they are, so quit before I found out ... hang around with like minded people, and all of the sudden you're normal
  2. Not sure about that, as wife and myself have a lot in common. Different tastes in some things. She's back to watching Thai/Asian TV/movies, though may have just got bored with the crap Hollywood is putting out, and understandable. Took a break from Asian stuff for about 10 years. Living philosophy is about the same, enjoy being home, and O&A, and enjoy the journeys as much or more than the destinations. Like being thrifty, but wasting money when the mood hits. Both prefer doing everything ourselves, to get it right, and being independent of others, people or business. If we can't do it, we'll learn how to, then do it. Maybe that's why it's lasted 18+ yrs ...
  3. Photos I posted are from the Tesla app, and would imagine current. I registered just to peek at their network, and didn't need to have a Tesla to do so. Did ask for email, but haven't received any Tesla junk mail. It appears all chargers are for all makes. At malls are the logical place, for now, and would serve more people, especially those buying & can't charge at home. More than enough CS on the highways for at all, ATM. We've seen plenty of Ts charging while O&A.
  4. Certainly isn't ... 'hansum man w/nice A$$' More like ... "stay away from farangs, they're all old, fat, drunkin' perverts, since one in the news everyday"
  5. I'm just trying to keep up with the EV haters. Find it hilarious, they suspect, imply, even blame some fires on EV, simply because they are in the area. That boat sinking had to be and EV, since EVs were on it, though nobody knows how the fire started, confirmed source. Same with that parking garage ... how many pointed to EV for both, and still do. Guessing the next 100+ auto fires reported on AN, won't be EVs either. We'll surely know immediately about the first one in TH. That will be a long, and I'll add a few more to my "list" ... Yes, I'm assuming the 'wat fire' wasn't an EV, as too easy to extinguish, eliminating an EV, unless everything but the battery was on fire.
  6. ... "as it will need to drive on farms" ...
  7. Up before sunrise, large cup of tea, troll AN, walk dog, morning fresh market, coffee, troll AN, out with dog again, just put a loaf of bread in the oven, and not even 0900 hrs.
  8. THANKS ... that query did cross my mind 👍
  9. Ladyboys & penises seem the be the most popular topics, aside from 'hate everything about TH & Thais'. It's Trump's fault there's few women on the forum and now 'safe space' provided.
  10. No fishing tackle, strangely, for living near the Gulf. Phom jon mak mak
  11. There's that revolving prison door policy, instead of life or death sentence for drug dealers. Another predator on society allowed to walk amongst us, and the gal will suffer for it, the rest of her life. "Somphop’s criminal history includes several drug-related arrests dating back to 2004 in the Bang Khun Thian area, where he was apprehended with 190 methamphetamine pills, and again in 2006 in the Tha Kham area with 120 pills. In 2013, in the Sutthisan area, he was part of a transnational drug smuggling operation involving Thai and Malaysian accomplices, leading to the seizure of 3 kilogrammes of ketamine and 400 ecstasy pills, reported KhaoSod."
  12. Thai Gold is a decent investment in TH, if past increases are to remain. Remember buying/selling at 3-6-10-12-20k baht over 20+ years. Now 41k+ baht. TH gold is soft, so easy to distinguish from fake gold.
  13. Probably NOT an EV ... just another ICEV fire, as usual Reported elsewhere: "Later, at 11.42am, officials from the Sukhumvit Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene. Volunteers in the area put out the fire. before the fire truck arrived on site."
  14. I remember reading articles of complains and wanting Tesla to change the 'Tesla only' policy at Superchargers in USA. I see they now allow all EVs at some chargers now in USA. Obviously not owning one or living in USA, lack of TSC here/TH, I didn't stay current with info. The more the better, though do hope MG remains restricted ... ME ME ME
  15. It is quite annoying, especially when driving, and dangerous if on a motorbike, along with your electronics/phone getting wet. I have an E-motorcycle, and would prefer not have water thrown on it. EV haters will tell you our cars will spontaneously ignite when wet, so there's that also
  16. Didn't realize Tesla allows 'supercharging' to other EVs: Of which I only filtered those open to other EVs, and the list of doesn't change. A few more, conveniently located. One in Hua Hin already pointed out, Then about 200 kms south of that, just on the other side of Chumphon border, one located at 'Garage Cafe', which we stopped at, and had a munch on our first day owning our MG EV, as a test run from Prachuap Khiri Khan MG dealer (240 km R/T) Smart move by 'Garage Cafe' and they serve up some decent food. Be interesting to see how they progress with their expansion of network, the next few months. NE & S are lacking at the moment.
  17. Yes, that's why you cross, corner to corner iv not crosswalk. Vehicle already committed to the turn, and has to go as far into the turn as possible, so not to get rear ended by another making the turn. Pedestrians definitely in the wrong, and an A-hole, for beating on the vehicle. Guarantee you wouldn't do that in the USA ... easy way to get shot
  18. Another reason why I avoid the 'festival', though not so much where we live now, but when at Udon Thani, the municipality used to pump water out of the rather stagnant, algae filled city lake. Did have plenty of fish in it, but I don't think they minded. That and the folks pumping from not so deep wells in the villages, all a bit suspect.
  19. Nah, I would definitely have noticed them, as I browse around any new shop I'm in. Have only seen weekly & monthly rags, and most in Thai, if not all, as very rare to be a non Asian in coffee shops I visit.
  20. OK, I concede ... newspapers are still being distributed and placed where westerner congregate ... probably why I haven't seen them in well over a decade or more.
  21. Example of that, we're spring cleaning, big coincidence, and yea, I put them back in the closet. Hats I've might have worn 1 or 3 times, if that. Hat's of cities I've been to, most in the Americas, and not a hat person. Or a t-shirt person, unless a good concert. Couple plastic containers of clothes I'll never wear, as cold weather stuff, some favorite, or commemorative. And that box of photos, that I never scanned and uploaded. Good thing we have a dog to protect all that, except when we're not home, neither is she, usually, since the most precious thing that can't be replace
  22. Everything we don't carry around with us. For some of us, that almost worth ฿1000, for others, maybe ฿1M. Some things have no real value, except sentimental value. TBH, not much that can't be replaced, and sometimes hope someone would come and steal all the crap I've collected, as I have a hard time discarding it, or give me a good reason to upgrade.
  23. So you're the OP, seeking advice, when you already know it all ...
  24. Only have 1, and ditto, territorial, and aggressive.
