I don't understand either. What is so great about overpriced under performing ICEV. One guy on another thread going on how his Raptor, cost 2X+, would blow me away, since being 2 secs faster getting to 100 kph. Or another going on about their Fortuner can carry more people. Like I want to take the in-laws with me everywhere I go Here I'm stuck with that short, fire trap that could could flame up if wet, or blow up if I hit bump. Not to mention I'm not contributing to the economy, since charge with solar. I also apologize for being a successful white male ... please forgive me

Maybe they should ban fat people also. Apples for Apples ... our MG ZS vs Camry. What's the problem ? Salt water ... really ? Guess I should stop driving along the surfside road, as there's quite a spray this time of year, as it slams against the sea wall. Actually I avoid that no matter what I used to drive. I road my E-MC in the rain, and live to tell about it Got to avoid those speed bumps & pot holes, as I read on AN, BEVs blow up when driving over AN & MSM ... great comic relief

And most sensible people would top up before getting on a ferry to an island. It's not rocket science. How many times do you plan on driving around the island. I drove around it once, boring as hell. You have CS near the pier, and over where most people hang out on Samui. With more than a few before you leave the mainland. Along with the option to actually charge at your accommodations, if they allow.

No need to ask why she shops at Evans: Plus size clothing for women 🐷

Why would you need CSs, as the island is only about 80 kms round. If you drove around the whole island 3 times, that's <250 kms, leaves at least about 100 kms reserve with most BEVs. Just more silly anti EV ignorance by so many people, businesses. Bridge is a great idea, since < 25 kms away, since they've had enough incidents on ferries that certainly didn't involve EVs. If it wasn't such a tourist trap, I might even pop over for a visit, if a bridge was available.

Thailand Birth Rate Nosedives: 81% Drop Surpasses Japan
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
"Thais are increasingly opting out of parenthood. Analysts are pointing to a blend of factors at play, with patriarchal societal pressures and economic uncertainties being cited as common threads among nations experiencing similar trends. Additionally, concerns over younger generations exposed to pollution and poor diets are believed to further impact Thailand's birth rate." Who writes this drivel. People just realize kids take up too much of their time and money, for them to enjoy life. Now, you can have sex, no worry of kids, so you now have time to enjoy the money your career provides. Pretty simple. Days past, before birth controls, if you want to have sex, you ended up with the burden of kids. A lot of sex, meant a lot of kids, and no time to enjoy life and strained your finances. Now you can get your freak on as much as you want, with no repercussions, or cramping your lifestyle in the future. People realize, relationships simply don't last when stressed, mentally and financially. Let alone a partner 'till death do you part'. Women don't want to get stuck with the kid afterwards, and men don't want to pay for the kid, being raised be someone else, or not seeing them, just paying for them. Why I never had kids before retiring, as too selfish to share my time and money on a burden, that would restrict my happy lifestyle. Given the choice, young folks don't want or need the burden of kids. Not like they need extra hands at the office. They see how kids restricted their parents enjoyment of life, and smartly avoid going down the same path. Not like they are all farmers and need extra hands to plant the rice If not for birth control, I'd have 50 kids, or more actually, since relationships didn't last. In a lasting relationship, the potential to pop one out every year could easily have been a reality. Marry at 25, menopauses' at 45 ... that's 20 kids ... -

Thailand's EV Industry Faces Challenges Amid Subsidy Concerns - video

Since I drive the speed limit, while someone else might drive his Raptor like an irresponsible teenager, then I reckon, me & mine are a lot safer. Machines don't kill people, people kill people -
Don't think you can get any more convenient than that. I'd definitely skip the wall charger installation. ฿25k, that's a lot of kWh @ ~฿8 per. That's about 22k kms, over what you'd be charging daily, overnight, w/ granny cable. ฿25k ÷ ฿8 = 3,125kWh ÷ 14 (kWh/100 kms) = 223.21 X 100 = 22,300 kms

You get what you pay for. What do you expect for < 560k baht. Not many cars in that price range, that I'd want to own. Matter of fact, none at all. If one's budget for a new car is that low, then that cheap BEV may be the answer. Beats buying petrol. Only the most stupid idiot would run out of battery, anywhere, as plenty of warnings before that would happen. If that stupid, then they surely be running out of petrol in the middle of nowhere -

What is your life improvements in Thailand
KhunLA replied to Hummin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Same old ... ease of access and cost of healthcare. The basics or having simply procedures done. Age & healthy dependent, how that affects anyone. Basically no RE Taxes, or any taxes aside from VAT. They are the 2 big ones. Few more, all affecting the wallet, cost of living; housing, EVs & solar system, all cheaper and better here. Any cost influenced by labor, along with closeness to CN, and minimal if any tariffs. Any other aspect are minimal. People, food and the actually country, not much difference in the basics. USA, more of everything, so options abound. Good place to retire, IF, started a long time ago. I wouldn't recommend to anyone today, and actually talked a friend out of it, today -
I think they need to retest the Toyotas, as they got caught submitting superior vehicles and data for certification better than they produced Joining VW in being extremely untrustworthy manufacturers ... IMHO Love it when folks state you can trust Toyota & legacy aute makers Now they have a new legacy, some as the old legacy

Yep, got to see parts of TH, like never before, and that's saying a lot, since being here from 2000. The pristine beaches of Phuket, during high season with no tourist ... that was special. The North, just as the rains stopped, before the burning, and vis was endless, could see every hillside ridge. Hotel prices discounted to 'keep the lights on' rate. We stayed at places, 5-6-700 baht w/brekkie, that cost 3-4-5000 baht now or more. Petrol was even cheap, E85 was <18 baht

Why Do So Many Foreign Men Still Marry Short-Time Girls?
KhunLA replied to JK-Trilly's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
"When one sits down and speaks with these girls, it doesn’t take long for the average dude to realize what he’s dealing with. Many of them are skilled manipulators, adept at lying, and are very calculating in their overall approach to money extraction. They also know how to push a man's buttons to get what they want, whether it’s money, gifts, travel and/or marriage. " As are so many other people not in the business, male & female, in all aspects of life. Not much difference than 'office politics' or relationships, marriages of non working gals, guys.
