Thai woman caught lying on baggage conveyor at Krabi Airport
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Krabi News
People are just jealous they don't feel free enough to do things they want. Who hasn't wanted to do the same, or, who hasn't done the same. I know I have, ridden a conveyor belt or 3 Life is short ... ENJOY IT -
Keep spinning ... some fires are for different reasons. Actually the fumes were the main concern, if you actually read a report of the fire. Fumes always a concern with many fires of different chemicals. Apparently nothing wrong with the product, and as usually, people & user error, but hey ... all EVs are bad. We get it. IGNORANCE IS BLISS have a nice day

Thailand: Where white losers that can’t get laid go
KhunLA replied to NorthernRyland's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
She has a point of course, but I don't think she realizes that they don't "have to get them drunk", but simply pay them. Get the impression, that she is so tuned in, that she doesn't even realize they are hookers. Tolerated here, but illegal in many countries. If on a short holiday, hooker makes sense, if wanting. As a lifestyle, that's either very sad, or very smart ... Love the part about 'worship the women at home' ... too funny. I've had great luck, but too man have worshiped and lost everything to the 'women at home'. She also seems a bit 'color blind' with the 'white men' part. But then it is the new fad ... 'all white men are evil and privileged' being pumped into the brains of idiots. -
Emphasis on 'some businesses' and their right of course. Two thoughts: ... ignorance always breeds fear ... and there's lots of 'old tech' out there, so a good precaution, along with people are just plain stupid, and can't be trusted. I would think the practical thing to do, is have all EVs, (BEV & Hybrids) park on the top/open floor of parking garages. Problem solved, if available.

I personally don't trust the FDA, CDC or anyone any more. 3rd party testing is a bit better, but nothing connected to big pharma or the govt. They've been caught lying too many times, resulting in too many deaths. Too many drugs have been first approved, then taken off the market, for various reasons. Sadly, some doing more harm than good, others, just not economical. Most being filtered through the liver ... hence ... Just a wee bit of uncommon common sense, should keep intelligent people safe while taking supplements.

You can't blame 'user error' on the product. Fire was a result of a crash.

"Tesla Semi travels over 1,000 miles in a single day Sep 29 2023 A Tesla Semi electric truck traveled over 1,000 miles in a single day in a real-world test for a new independent study. There have been a lot of doubts about class 8 battery-electric semi-trucks. Many didn’t think that they would ever be able to compete with diesel trucks. Bill Gates was among those doubters. Gates argued that all-electric semi-trucks like the Tesla Semi would “probably never” work because batteries would be too heavy. He didn’t see them achieving a range of 500 miles, which is needed for long-haul trucking. Tesla proved him wrong last year with a 500-mile trip with a load on one charge. The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) has been conducting a study as part of its new Run on Less program to test several electric trucks in real-world conditions and release the data in real time. There are three new Tesla Semi trucks in the program this year, and we reported on the first data coming earlier this month. Now, the 18-day study has concluded, and on the second to last day, the Tesla Semi #3 managed to travel a record 1,076 miles in a single day."

Below paraphrased from .... this link "The fire rate of electric vehicles is 61 times lower than that of gasoline vehicles Only 25 out of 100,000 all-electric vehicles are likely to catch fire, compared to more than 1,500 gasoline vehicles and nearly 3,500 hybrid vehicles, according to research from National Transportation Safety Board data. American National Institute (NTSB). The rate of electric vehicles burning is extremely low The recent study was conducted by AutoInsuranceEZ, an American insurance company, based on data from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) and recall data. According to the US Government, vehicles with internal combustion engines have a significantly higher number of fires than fully electric vehicles. Accordingly, battery electric vehicles have only a 0.025% chance of catching fire, compared to 1.5% for internal combustion engine vehicles and 3.4% for hybrid vehicles. The study revealed that petrol and diesel vehicles experienced 1,530 fires per 100,000 vehicles, while only 25 out of 100,000 all-electric vehicles caught fire. This means that the fire rate of electric vehicles is only 1/61 compared to cars using gasoline and oil."

Need to register drone with PoPo, and if having a camera, need to register with CAAT and have insurance. Not sure if that has changed. I registered a couple DIY (no camera) and my MI Drone, but took the detachable camera off to avoid CAAT & insurance. Actually when law first went into effect, I contacted CAAT and they didn't want to be bothered with me, and blew me off ... WTF. I believe DJI will assist in registering. DJI are 'all in one', non detachable gimbal/camera and another reason I went with Xiaomi Mi drone, aside from the price. Check out the Capt Drone YT channel for the differences in Mavic models, and what's worth it and what isn't. Along with new models, as I haven't paid attention for years. I don't do vids, but I still like a 3 axis gimbal. To put out a decent vid, you need a lot of editing. A 3 axis gimbal and good 1080p is good enough for me & photography. And if working with raw files (photos) or 4k-8k vids, then you need a lot of computer power, as they are huge files. For social media, nobody can really tell the difference from 1080p to 4k anyway, especially on small devices.

Favorite (RTF brushless) was the Mi Drone, though it started acting up, so I sold it. Inexpensive at the time, smooth moving gimbal, and really nice, good camera. Large & heavy, and not very discreet would be the cons. Direct competitor to the DJI Phantom. Crashed ... who me ... Yep, crashed a bunch. First one, first flight ... total noob. Actually a good thing. As cracked the GPS module, so I actually had to learn how to operate. Then got very good at it. Second nature and no thought needed after that. Like a kid playing video game. Ignored all advice about buying a toy to learn how to fly, and learn in open field on a $50 USD one. Instead, buy a $300 one and fly in the back yard, surrounded by trees Latest ones have all had GPS, and since, got rusty to actually sport flying them. More about photos anyway. Now when take the toys out to play, have to think about what I'm doing ... sad.

That's what I mostly cut out, potatoes, pasta, bread, grain cereal and pastry. Along with 'excess' sugars. We don't do much of any processed food, and lots of in home, whole food cooking. Stick to homemade (no crust) cheesecake for my pastry treat, along with homemade chocolate for sweet's fix, with minimal sugar added in both. Same with bread when I do make it and no sugar added. My issue with statins, actually works too good for me, and blocks the cholesterol needed for the body to produce hormones & enzymes, more important for me, than excess cholesterol. Of course if your #s are silly high, especially the HDL/Trig ratio, 4-5-6X & up, then yea, you should be on statins, if can't control it by diet & exercise. Long term effects not much of an issue for me, as only on statin for about 1.5 yrs, and knocking on 70 already, so unless living for quite some time onward, long term is immaterial. I like a higher testosterone level and COQ10 enzyme that protects the heart, that cholesterol is needed to produce.

I like the 2 SUP towing the longtail part better ...

Your liver makes the majority of the cholesterol, and sometimes, most, not the best. Why it's good to have a bit of fat & good cholesterol in you diet. Hopefully satisfy the need or countering the bad the liver is putting out. Also was on statin, and changed my diet, considerably, and now keto ish, cutting most carbs/starch version & sugars. Will test blood again near end of year, to make sure still in the normal / good ranges. Check APOB also, along with the the supposedly important HDL/Trig ratio. More important than total #s or even LDL # if a bit high, or so I'm reading from all the newer studies, debunking the BS we've been fed before about eating healthy and the silly food pyramid. A keto diet allows quite bit of variety. Carnivore diet a bit more meat heavy. Know I couldn't stick to a carnivore diet, so keto & intermittent fasting is working quite well for me. Keto food, below, that I actually eat & available here/TH. FULL LIST OF

Today I met the first farang returning home because of exchange rate
KhunLA replied to nofarang's topic in Central Thailand
That's just silly, as exchange rates fluctuate. Unless from UK, and got here when it was 70-60-50 to the GBP. Thanks to Brexit, so not Thailand's fault. For Yank, as example, any research will show for past 15ish years, it's been steady between 30-35 to the USD. rarely dipping below, or over. IF a 10% fluctuation is going to send you packing, you probably shouldn't have been here to begin with. Better retirement planning = happier retirement -
As you know diet & exercise. Don't know if any will actually specifically control BP or cholesterol. But giving your body all that it needs will certainly help to run better. Any extra, most of, and you'll just P out anyway, so hard to overdo it. Careful on Niacin, as skin flushes are a bitch, so if taking, start low, and watch your sun/vit d intake.. I only take ... Magnesium *** ... do notice significant difference since Multi vit ... careful on the 100% fat soluble, if diet includes Vit C ... immune boost, and just about everyone agrees on that *** most recommend Vid D with that (mag), but not a problem or needed here in TH, as get plenty on my daily dog walking 2X a day. Mere 15 mins in the sun can easily top you up on Vit D K1 & K2 highly recommended, for keeping calcium where it's suppose to go, bones instead of arteries & veins. For that, we make our own Kefir milk, and Natto, and drink and or eat daily. Natto available at Makro also, which I pick up occasionally when wife is lazy. Natto is a bit time consuming without a pressure cooker. Kefir grains available online, and 10-20gr make plenty in a 24 hr period, and quite easy to do. Chilled in frig, and you have a very nutritious yoghurt. Someone already mention Omega 3 oil, though I think I get plenty of that in my diet. Sort of a Keto diet, eggs, meats/salmon, olive oil, beef tallow, butter, all having a bit, I believe.

Using drone while playing tourist is nice, just have to stay away from tourist & expats. Definitely captures photos you'd never get from the ground, unless on a high viewpoint. https://goo.gl/photos/cBQQ6s3YwgQ6tERV6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/zlujRrzhtwV5thEF3 https://photos.app.goo.gl/RR1hd5r3er1EuBKo2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/Gx129SaRig7tAm9q6 https://goo.gl/photos/AySL2dndUD3nQmp6A https://goo.gl/photos/sBWNzMQc42YqDRXX7 https://goo.gl/photos/Zq3PkFgAiqrEHiNQ6 https://goo.gl/photos/xgXAbkjfiWrFj7eq5 https://goo.gl/photos/PvbSpRNjRVH8QjpC7

Hard to go wrong with DJI Mavic line, though a bit pricey, but, will be first & last one you buy ... probably. I have 2 lower end priced drones, with minimum specs for decent vid. VLL SQ906 Beast Pro 2, w/3 axis gimbal, and Sony camera sensor. Probably discontinued. As a few more came out afterwards. Also have a MJX Bugs 16 (I think), will handle most any wind here, camera not as good, but decent, on 3 axis gimbal also. I think both were in the $500 USD range A good DJI will be $1000+ USD. All 3 will have GPS, telemetry, to monitor and see what the drone sees, along with autonomous programs. Most programs I didn't use, as more sales gimmicks, though nice if using. DJI will have obstacle avoidance, that may actually work. Wouldn't trust other brands version of. Those 3 brands seem to be pretty dependable. Always order extra batteries with any drone, as if & when discontinued, getting replacement will be a challenge. Knock offs are usually poor quality. Last drone I bought was a few years ago, why the Capt Drone suggestion for what's new. And he always has a best of, for the year recommendations. I was already familiar with MJX products, having 4 or 5 already. VLL was new to me, and recommended by a few YT'er at the time. I'm a Sony fan, so that sold me. What I use mostly when wanting some snaps. Takes good photos, or I'll just pull them off the vid. Very slight edit, and they look quite good. I'm more just photography from a different viewpoint. Not really concerned about making vids. Done playing, sport flying, modding them, or chop shopping. Running low on batteries anyway or most of the 'toys'. Snaps of the hood, from the VLL SQ906 from last month, and a not so good day ...

So not too boring, wings (from night market), added to my usual eggs. Along with asparagus, freshly picked this AM from garden. Wings all of 10 baht each, tasty & meaty vs KFC, at ~55 baht now for 3 wings zap. Love a bargain 😎
