Yea, we're almost at the ROI mark, for the 'necessary' size system. The extra ESS, will take another year for full ROI. Another 6 months or so, and ROI on 8kW inverter & (one) 10kWh ESS will probably be realized at years end, and that's just over 3 yrs (Aug 2022). Bit faster that expected, due to high cost of petrol, hitting ฿38-฿40 a liter , for too long, now back down, but still over ฿30 a liter. When averaging only 17k kms a year for 3 years, even that adds up quick. Electric & petrol bills were our largest monthly expense, aside from food of course. Average about ฿5k, a month each, so about ฿10k a month, and non DIY system, without the extra ESS, (not needed), was ฿350k. Now could easily install same system for about ฿100k less, if DIY, for even quicker ROI.

My best beach experience in TH. Had the fluorescents in surf at nighttime, and spectacular. Only one bungalow operation on the beach back then, on that bay, Vijit's. Pure Bliss, sea Eagles, huge crabs, flocks of Plovers & Sandpipers on the beach. Skinny dip every night & morning with high tide (at you own risk / them crabs) Only negative, very tidal, and you lose a lot of beach half the day. Beer sipping time.

Yea, friend of mine, chased a Cobra out of her bungalow on two separate visits on Phayam

Only 6, I think, sleeping on, as was too paranoid about the kid & snake bites. Now the dog is a hassle, plus I like my car with me. Few more, but don't think daytrips and hanging on the beach for awhile counts. Phuket Phi Phi Chang (large) Samui Phayam Lanta Since I won't spend much time in the surf any more, mainland beaches are fine to look at & listen too. A crescent bay with some headland or small out cropping is a bit more important. A long beach, not matter how pristine doesn't do much for me. One reason we live where we do, even though the Gulf, quite like Ao Prachuap, Ao Manao & Ao Noi.
