  2. Don't know if mentioned, but if looking at life expectancy, should be looking at charts with year born & location. (saw different chart/67.7 yrs) Myself, USA, 66.7 yrs, and 45 of those in USA. Actually had an oops at about 67.7, and tech now, that wasn't available in Dec 1954, saved me, or at least would make things better or back to normal again. That was last year and any complications usually show up in that year, so all good, again, maybe. We're on borrowed time ... ENJOY
  3. And if you die with Covid after all those shots, or due to a side effect of the vaccine ... ... oh well ...
  4. Estimated in that mode, per charge. And the display does NOT have all 3 modes/range listed. I added 2, as it will only display the one you are in. Then that will count down what is remaining. Last # 11.7 (right hand side) is kWh per 100 kms, so my daily morning run to park w/dog & surfside cruise, would be in the 395 kms per full charge (46.3 usable kWh ÷ 11.7kWh X 100 = 395 kms per full charge)
  5. Those interested, the MGs 50kWk (46.3 usable) range for knocking around town, and 'ECO' mode is very accurate. 360 kms or more around town. 300-320 on highway @ 90 kph. We drive 30 - 60 - 90kph around town, since near hwy #4, though not on 4 much.
  6. Yea, that is a bit surprising, since guessing, many grew up in the hippy dippy era also. Been puffing away since a young teen. Just after alcohol introduced me to the world of stimulants. Crinkled faced folks are some of the same addicted to that demon alcohol ... in denial of course. Myself, never been addicted to any stimulants ... well, aside from sex & love. It's nice to know if I get the urge, I'm not looking at a stretch at BKK Hilton
  7. Been like that for a while, Gmap photo deated July 2023. G Earth shows tent set up 2021, but that doesn't seem right, possibly. I get waved through, so don't care, but a hassle for tourist, especially if swimming, and now need to bring & secure ID somewhere if not self driving.
  8. The station is manned now, not at the same counter w/ledger sitting there. Because of the people that obviously didn't follow the rules, they now enforce them strictly.
  9. Crossing army land to the south – passport required? ... yes, as you must sign in at the front gate.
  10. I've done it more than a few times, years ago. It's a very walkable city.
  11. I've always had a camera with me, as long as I can remember. Funny looking back on photos 50 yrs old. Now have fancy interchangeable lens cameras. Huge quality difference. Enjoy drones also, for a different angle/perspective photo. Drones in TH anyway, took a big step back with regulations. Quality interchangeable lens cameras & quality drones are inexpensive. The new iPhones & G Pixels is all most need. I do wildlife, so I need range, as they're a bit skittish at times. Wildlife, city/landscape ... if it interests me, I'll take a snap. Mostly for myself, as would bore most folks. Have 10s of 1000s of photos.
  12. Yes ... came up with quite a few photos & links, but that was the only ones with Thai script.
  13. Who's your Daddy ... Whoa ... BYD .. 2X+ 👍
  14. Nah, too small an island. Same w/Samui, though not a fan anyway. Phuket maybe. PKK fine, being a long province surfside, so easy to kill a year here. But one spot, one resort, one town... NO, that would get old fast.
  15. KP even has a duty free shop at the mall near Victory Monument, which only allows purchases with CH PPs. or so reported in one of their reviews of: "My partner is Chinese passport holder. They gave 200baht daily to him, free taxi, free buffet.. the staff said “no foreign passport, only for Chinese” Was actually thinking about popping in, since down the way from my daughter. Hoping to see if the had PHRAYARUM, since impossible to find, as made for export only. Thought if anyone would have they might ... oh well.
  16. Living semi-rural in non heavy tourist area, so weekends aren't much different than weekdays. Sundays being quite dead till late afternoon dining hours. No malls here to get packed, as the Lotus's doesn't really qualify. Got an MK, KFC & Swensen's which do a brisk business on weekends. Only time I go to Lotus's is Tuesday, for 2/1 scoops @ Swensen's.
  17. @Kermit2404 Since knowing only 1 year, I really wouldn't bother with long term visa, as someone suggested METV, would seem easier. Hua Hin is a good suggestion as is Pattaya, but beach is a stretch, and good to look at at least. I live In Prachaup, and wouldn't really recommend, unless you can entertain yourself. Also no public trans. HH & Patts have decent baht bus system, and plenty of easy shopping. The 2 chains stores at Prachuap, require transport, and taxis don't really exit here. Unless plan on living out of 7-11, and not exactly a bad thing, supplemented with fresh market.
  18. Apparently you've never browsed through and saw their pricing. Some have mentioned, along with the well publicized scam that ran for years. To other post, yea, King Power folks are loaded with money. King Power Mahanakhon is your obvious 'local' clue to that. Mind boggling how some of the 'TH expert' are, well, a bit ignorant, but happy to chime in. Have a nice day
  19. Another study pointing out the obvious. Kind of useless when politicians & govts don't do anything since controlled by the FF conglomerates. Nothing they haven't known for decades. They could simply start with banning diesel fuel for personal vehicles. Since that has a direct effect on more than a few health issues.
  20. t least they gave the bZ4X a tweak during a recall, so hopefully the wheels will stop falling off
  21. @advancebooking YT is mostly cooking channels more technique than recipes: I don't do much of anything else. MSM, I get on AN Quick read of RTnews, with large grain of salt. Don't do pods or any of that stuff, inc; IG, TicTok, X. FB to stay conx w/family & friends, all of 14. Don't follow Drone, EV, or Solar channels, as own, and nothing new to buy or learn. Actually on Gmaps more than anything, planning next outing, whether for food or overnights 1-10ish days. I prefer to be out of the house, if only on the veranda, watching the critters, maybe snap a photo. Stroll around local park or surfside with dog.
  22. I think so also Chevy pulling out of TH ... had to hurt those that trade up every few years. Guess what car the kids going get when ready. Daughter got our Mazda2 as not worth selling, after only 7 or 8 yrs/<150kms. Saw a few of those oops, one battery bank, plastic encased, got a home punched in it. Ouch, something simple could end up being quite expensive.
