Posted above, it was 14.2 & 3 more than a few times. Thought the fluctuation range was a bit strange, as up & down from 11v-14v quite a bit over a 2 minute stretch before it reset and warning disappeared. One guy on the MG forum replaced his with a lithium, only 50Ah, though since no cranking involved, shouldn't be that much of an issue, but did have to do a bit of modifying, as couple cm taller, and less length, along with terminals smaller on the one he used. No desire to do that, along with any warranty issues it may violate.

We were getting the '12v fault warning', and watching the gauge monitoring it, and it was fuctuating between 11v & 14.1, and occasionally dippin below 11v, down to 10.2v. Fault warning came on more than a few times while driving home. Have appt at MG tomorrow, check make sure it's the battery and not the charging 'module'. Only 21 months old, though batteries from dealers and in TH in general, do seem to be low quality. Surprised how many needed replacement on past Toyotas & Mazda. MG ZS ICE (2020) had 2 yrs / 40k kms on it when sold, and battery going strong. Actually the same battery in the EV version, I think.
-
This is for the MG ZS, as may need to replace. 63Ah is in it now. Seeing lead acid GS brand (LN2-DIN65 DL EFB) for <฿3k online. No local dealer, and would prefer to upgrade to a lithium.
-
Anyone replace their 12v lead acid battery with a lithium one yet ? Where did you source the battery ? TIA

What's your no 1 issue with the world?
KhunLA replied to susanlea's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Ignorance of people, not realizing humans are evil, and can't be trusted. Once realized, life is easy, and it's a wonderful world. Make & enjoy your life anyway you please. -
Received our TOT bill after the payment due date the other day. That's a first, which also means me can't pay with bank transfer. Usually mail delivery, what very little there is, (TOT & 1 CC bill) is excellent.

If 3 or 5kW system installed specifically for the EV, and home during the day, ROI would be <1-2 yrs if driving 20k kms locally. That would save 54k baht per year, and petrol (91) is now more expensive than when I did those calculations. Comparing cost of MG ZS ICE vs BEV, which I owned/own both. That's our potential saving charging the ZS at home on solar, if only driving locally. ROI isn't even considering the savings off the house use of electric from PEA/MEA. Just another uninformed post from an uninformed member. Why do they bother ... Our 8kWh system with 20kWh of ESS will have a ROI from <4 years to 6 years, depending how much we abuse the AC and drive unnecessarily. Are system wasn't exactly inexpensive, or DIY. Real life experiences vs BS

2024 U.S. election: RNC Continues to Ignore LGBTQ Issues
KhunLA replied to TallGuyJohninBKK's topic in Gay People in Thailand
Considering the percentage of alphabet folks in the USA population, it's a safe way to run a campaign. Why talk about something most don't care about. People care about the economy, inflation, jobs, immigration, healthcare, social security, veteran care, less foreign aid and start taking care of their own, instead of giving away what the don't hove. Who batting their eyes at each other isn't a to priority. All states honor civil unions anyway, I think. Same sex marriage is about the only alphabet issue that is different from the rest of the folks. One issues ... not issues. Besides, like abortion, it is better left to the states to decide what citizens of the state want. Why some are allowing same sex marriage, and others apparently not. This is a presidential campaign, and not something the federal govt need to be wasting there time on, discussing what isn't going to get done at the federal level. -
My Blood Pressure Numbers are always Normal - I'm Confused .
KhunLA replied to Bill Poster's topic in Health and Medicine
Seems a bit low, but nothing to concern yourself about, obviously. So you are what ... ... complaining about being healthy, having good blood pressure, since being a bit overweight. 80 kgs isn't exactly obese, unless you're only 150cm tall. -
To the title ... don't care about all the world atrocities. Don't know or care about anyone involved. If I started thinking about all the bad crap in the world, it would be a depressing place and one would never be able to enjoy one's self or fall asleep. I just accept humans are evil, and it's normal, and nobody seems to care. Just love to talk about how it affect them. Wave a flag, send your prayers and offer your imaginary helpful solution or express your sorrow and how you stand by them ... If your not sending money or physically joining the fight ... your not helping at all

Why I prefer CM to Bora Bora. And why you should, too!
KhunLA replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That's apples & oranges. I don't know how you guys deal with the pollution. I'm outside too much. When the vis is down to a few kms, if that, or 1/2 km, there's major problem. When the air smells of smoke, and you or your neighbors are burning trash, there's a problem. Even Udon Thani was bad. Had some hill ridges (4) behind the house there. Crystal clear from 2nd floor, during rainy season, but during smog season, you'd never know they are there. I've revisited places during rainy season, after the kid was done school, as long breaks were March, April & mid May. When visiting again, it's like, damn, beautiful ... I didn't know there was mountain views here That's some eye opening sh!t That kind of ignorance in not bliss. -
Full Medical- Bangkok Khonkaen hospital yesterday

I agree, but, if your next test is off the chart, to your baseline, then a good heads up, especially if not showing any symptoms. I think PSA is probably the most unreliable, unless already under care for cancer. As so much can influence it. I've always been lower end normal, till older. Then higher end, as prostate grew. Then like double, but, prostate also twice as large, and probably had sex within 36 hrs of the test. Ultrasound showed nothing abnormal. Why I always suggest full abdominal ultrasound to be included when people ask about check ups, as will find things, and help them realize, it's not just a bit of visceral fat/love handles you see, but a fatty liver for example, which probably means other organs may have a bit extra that they could do without. All the alphabet test are fine, but as stated, good marketing, as 3-4-5 more test and you think you're getting your money's worth. Not a problem here, as so inexpensive, and they got the blood anyway, but elsewhere, just pads the bill, and an expensive one at that. Pictures tell a much better story. Ultrasound or CT Scan, (full abdominal) which I had done recently, just for the hell of it, and piece of mind Showed I'm a bit healthier than I thought (fatty liver gone). My GP is a nephrologist, so reassuring also. Hopefully a wake up call for some, to unplug, and maybe take a walk, and not to the bar stool. Takes a major lifestyle change, as our body can't handle what it use to, when we were active. 30 to 40 years of body abuse was enough, I gave my body break about 15 yrs old. Easy since not really addicted to anything (cigs/alcohol), except pastry. -

Now y'all have a baseline for your cancer markers, a good thing for next check up to compare to. As suggested, a colonoscopy is a good thing to have done. -
No, neither. Although back in the 70's, had problems traveling in the south/USA. My bud carried a bag before it was fashionable. We both had long hair, and I'd wear 'flower / bird', bright shirts. And my voice is about a gay as it can be, when slightly 'excited', No rooms when vacancy sign was on, and no cars in the lot. Geez .. I wonder Got chased off a Uni in TX, actually went there to get some weed. Think it was a ROTC college or something, seemed like every one had a boot camp cut, and they told us fags to leave .. or else

Bringing dog to Thailand for 3-6 months
KhunLA replied to Travel2000's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
All understandable, and TBH, if I had rental property, it would be 'no pets' Pet owners are some of the worst here. Wife just gave the dog a bath, as we're O&A tomorrow. We travel with top bed cover (& broom), rarely use GH linen/blanket, unless low temps, and wife leaves the room as clean, or cleaner when we leave. Our dog won't bark, unless someone at the door, but never continuous (verified) as others. Unless we're actually walking around town, we'll take her with us anyway, and she hangs out in the car if we're munching. Also not a chewer. Worst situation, if we did an planning oops and needed to stay where she wasn't welcome, I'd just leave her in the car, w/AC on all night. Doesn't use much battery. -
I only use LazMall vendors ... refund in wallet already. They picked up the return late afternoon yesterday, put in system this morning. Refunded already for 'change of mind' 👍 I definitely didn't arrive back at Bangkok yet.
