  1. Them BYD's are darn nice looking. Quite like the Atto 3 myself, and now just wee bit more than the ZS. Available after we ordered, and did show up before we received. Actually was an option if we changed out mind. Did go with what we knew, since having the ICE version. Along with a new model, actually market for BYD, so the only hesitation. MG having a few years to work out some tweaks. Which they did nicely. Nice CS network to compliment owning. Will come in handy as EV #s put a strain on CSs, and Q'ing more frequent. One member did an extensive test drive of both Atto & ZS, going with the Atto 3. Did mention the ZS had just a wee bit umph off the line, and AC seemed a wee bit more powerful. I'm glad he added that to his review, and of course the 2 more important to me Other than that, styling, fit finish, bells & whistles, and every other darn thing, he preferred the Atto 3. Still very happy with our choice. MG definitely feeling the competition, something they didn't have a few years earlier for their price points. Hence the price drops on both ZS & MG4.
  2. I've mentioned the pros & cons. That you chose to ignore that fact is a bit telling. UP2U I can only express my personal experience of owning, unlike your extensive knowledge of not owning. My experience has been mostly positive. Haven't bought a new top end ICEV, but it seems many of the entry level EVs, are spec'd better, with all the same or more bells & whistles. Why I make that comparison at times. Many people will buy the top end version of a 'made in TH' ICEV, in which case, they really should consider spending the same or a bit more, and peek / test drive a comparable EV. But with all the false info/BS the anti EV & CH folks spew, they may not, and miss out on a much better vehicle. Especially those that enjoy performance. Yaris top end ฿700k Mazda 2 top end ฿800k Silly prices and a waste of money IMHO Only reasons not to buy an EV, are you can't charge at home, or work on the road, racking up high kms everyday and time is money. Honestly can't think of any other, aside from needing a truck.
  3. Who apparently hasn't be convicted of anything ... innocent till proven guilty. "Ken Paxton is acquitted of corruption charges" So he's someone who would rather stand & fight, rather than being silenced 👍
  4. Anticipating an EV pick up just around the corner ...
  5. Not so sure about that. I simple stent placement could give you a another decade of good health. Without knowing, and having an oops, could weaken your heart to the point if being immobile, or the obstruction could break off, and cause a stroke ... baby food and diapers for another decade UP2U ... but I like to know what's going on. People should take better care of themselves vs their care of their vehicles.
  6. Not the best situation for owning an EV. Does make me wonder why you even chime in on EV threads.
  7. A guess, UT, as much larger than NK. @stupidfarang Spotted this when searching your photo.
  8. Sit corrected ... but ... I know which one I would choose: Yaris 94 hp (69 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of torque at 4,400 rpm Neta V 95 hp and torque of 150 Nm ... almost instant Would only buy ICEV if couldn't charge at home ... maybe. Plug in/out, all of 30 secs vs 10 minutes at petrol station. If I shopped at Lotus's, then still get the EV.
  9. Yes, I have. And that's why I send multiple copies now. Just sent 3rd one yesterday. Actually cheaper to send 3 slow mail, than 1 registered. 2nd notice was for Mar/Apr 2021/2022's mailing, received Oct 2022. Returned Oct 2022 and no interruption or 3rd notice/cancellation notice. Was taking with IRS, (they called me), and got on the subject of Soc Sec NOT receiving 7162, and the gal advised me, they/SS are aware of the Wilkes Barre problem. So something going on there, beyond staffing.
  10. What an A$$ ... the 2nd guy's reaction ... nuff said Not like there was an emergency or anything needed to be done. Enough people standing around already, one taking photos or vid.
  11. Definitely ... and it's ฿600k if wanting AT. If going for top end Yaris ... it's shy of ฿700k A few baht more gets you in a MG4, IF you want performance, along with never having to buy petrol again, or those oil changes & tune-ups
  12. China Rocks ... saves us ฿3-10k a month, depending if at home or O&A, with added plus of driving a better performing vehicle. Our Honda Wave sat in the driveway, drove it to put air and petrol in it I actually enjoy driving the E-MB Lotus's now having CSs, makes killing 30-45 mins easy. I don't think I'd ever need to get anywhere as far and as fast as possible, not to pop into a CS for 30 mins after 3+ hrs on Thai roads. Hard the make 100 kms/1 hr before the wife has to P or is hungry sometimes. Healthy also, as avoids deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and can never be too careful.
  13. Scratched my idea of going Gulf east side this week, then thought about Phuket. Until saw the hotel prices 3-4X what they were a few months ago. Where o where to go Not asking for suggestion, just thinking out loud. Keep it on topic. Pollution (on topic) definitely affects our O&As. No sense going somewhere for the lovely view, when you can't see 'em.
  14. "Israel-Hamas war live: 184 Palestinians killed since truce ended on Friday morning" Does anyone actually believe less than 1 person was killed per bomb?
  15. ..... 'Israel launched more than 200 strikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday, including in the densely populated south, where many civilians have fled. Khan Younis, which was previously attacked less heavily than the north of Gaza, was almost bombed from the air immediately after the truce broke down".... For those that need a visual aid, the yellow line is 41 kms. Gaza Strip is 41 X 10 X 13 kms Gaza Strip overlaid next to Pattaya Overlay next to London, UK London pop density 5,598/km2 Gaza pop density 6,507/km2
  16. RU is actually the only place I have an interest in explore, if I ever went international for a holiday.
  17. @Baht Simpson Check that it's still there
  18. I looked at 3 recipes, and was skeptical, as none turned them. Also 7 minutes and didn't get a crust, so think I need to jack up the temp to 200C, but, internal temp was already 150F+ Think I'll stick with the cast iron for salmon, nice crust and a lot faster. 8 minutes is way too long for me. Pan is like 2 minutes a side.
  19. If you got a convection oven already, that gets hot & has fans, you might want to hold off on buying. Don't regret buying it, but not seeing an advantage yet. Only tried a few things; ... bread OK, but small loaf ... does not do salmon well ... reheated spicy wings quite nicely ... did a very nice crispy pork 👍 ... only had it couple days I bought one from Central Online 990 baht, and quite nice (4.5L), electronic, 200°C top temp. Same model/price on LAZ & Shopee. Really isn't much I can't do in our larger convection oven w/powerful fans (actually labeled 'air fryer' also) or my cast iron pan set. New AF is a bit redundant for us (retired toaster over, for counter space). Great for condo living, and saving electric, since compact vs the 56L oven. Got solar, so no benefit for us. 'Pro Home Cooks" on YT has a few good vids for using AF. Where I got the crispy pork idea.
  20. I wrote a follow up post, as obviously a few misunderstood my 1st, but either it got deleted, or I didn't hit submit or had an oops when I did, and didn't notice. Can't be bothered to type it again. Forum members should be happy they don't live in RU.
