KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Israel
To the title ... NO Only total annihilation of indigenous people can you successful invade & occupy a foreign land. You'd think people would have leaned that by now. -

Thailand’s EV initiative: Driving towards a greener future
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
What is the 'scam' part ? Dealer offers an EV, you don't like it, don't buy it, you do like it, buy it. Are they misrepresenting the EV, any different than ICEVs. Do you do your research before buying items? You can only get scammed if you're an idiot. Only 1 person to blame for your ignorance/stupidity. -
Is there a non gay area of the site. I thought most members are gay or bi, as so many seem to be infatuated with penises; size, circumcised, well shaved area, want to know how often you masturbate, every aspect of LBs. Wife even asked me why I'm on a gay site, when noticing some of the thread topics ... 😂

What’s needed to buy car in Thailand
KhunLA replied to WilliamCave's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I assumed the OP has a long term visa, in which case, he already proved his living address...oops. A lease or yellow book is all that is needed for the CoR. One dealer may have simply accepted my yellow book, without the CoR, as one was quite some ago. CoR is usually in lieu of having a yellow book in many instances. -
Hot, hot, hot – Phuket Airport passengers complain about ‘hot’ terminal
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
We keep the house at 26-28. Though I have no problem walking in the park or surfside when 36 feels life 53. -
Located in TH ? So, do you consider yourself skint or thrifty, since living in such small house and driving an entry level car? Sounding like the equivalent of a tract house, but w/style, hopefully.

I do what I want, when I want, with a bit of common sense thrown in. Not much change from when a young lad, though I don't bounce of good as I used to. I really don't care if I crap out tonight or tomorrow or 10 yrs from now. Never did, and quite surprised I'm still alive 😂

Sounds more like good retirement planning. When you an own a house here for 1/3 the price in the USA, custom built for you, and then pay nothing afterwards (taxes) to live in, for a house that's already paid for, then that's a good thing. And you live where and in what ? Never mind, anonymous forum. Forgot the purpose of most here, never ending trolling and in fighting. Seems every thread now turns into a sh!t show. 5 pages of insults with 5 real posts.

Not sure about want to live so long. Already knockin' on 69 ... or ... only 69, depending what mood I'm in. Why not hang around as long as possible, as everything works and still mobile. Till that changes, no thoughts of leaving early.

Local MG having an advert blitz, as saw 3 consecutive signs in a row, on utility poles during my morning loop. The 3 fore mention price drops adorning the utility poles, and on a not so well traveled road, though a mandatory u-turn for many, so good placement. Along with low speed on that stretch, see easily noticed. Haven't gone in town yet, and surely some more about 👍

That sucks ... and definitely location dependent. As most roads we travel on (not Patts), are quite excellent, throughout TH 🚗

Wife bought eggs the other day, 10 for 50 baht, so 5 baht each, and they were small. I use to by 3 for 5 baht 20 yrs ago 😂😪

Yep ... attach to your belt and or throw the cord over your shoulder, and if have a button down shirt, can actually weave through those, so it stays in place. Sending though t-shirt never seemed to work well.

About the same, now 80-100k a month income, and 23 yrs ago, about 15k a month. Still owned car, house scooter. Biggest bill, petrol & electric, and probably ate out 2 meals a day, w/beer sipping. Still more than needed back then. Today, complete reversal of lifestyle. Eat in and little to no alcohol. Still plenty of O&A's though, so petrol was a big bill, if not the largest at times, with daily school runs, or 65-75 kms a day, since always living out of town. Since there, in town during school run, would eat in town during. Then O&A exploring 2-3 months a year during school breaks. About 15 years of, till wee one off to Uni.

Anyone actually sample 'beyond burger'? I personally don't see the point myself, especially if using the stuff, for a 'burger', as the beef burger itself, isn't exactly the most unhealthy part of the 'burger. Many would say the roll, cheese & condiments are far unhealthier. If it's a humane thing, hell, just make a veggie burger (roasted shrooms, eggplant, onion, peppers ... etc) or sandwich & enjoy. Done that more than few times, if wanting protein, add an egg.

Why we now have 100 tw lot for the house, most taken up by the house & carport. No need for groundskeeper 1 or 2 day a week. Use to take me 2 days to cut the grass during rainy season, a couple hours a day. It was too much, and seemed like living for house at times 😂

Thai poll lists arrogance as their #1 complaint about Farangs.
KhunLA replied to charleskerins's topic in General Topics
First 2 apply to majority of people, though for me, ignorance, sometimes excusable would fall between those two. 1- arrogance 2- ignorance 3- false sense of superiority -
Pretty sure that's more than we 'need' to spend, when home. Many months don't spend that much. BUT ... we own house, car & scooter, have solar, so 3 of the biggest monthly bills for us don't exist. Internet ... < 1400 electric if any ... < 200 water .. < 200 car ins ... < 1000 healthcare ,,. < 2000 ... ball park average w/full check up yearly Food ... < 15k, probably 10k ish, that eating good, 90% at home
