  1. Why the ridicule ? These are the some folks recommending multiple vax'ing, booster, social distancing, ATK testing, etc etc etc, from smoking to drinking and all aspects so you have a healthy life. Just shows they care. Are you allowed to pick and choose which advice to ridicule or follow ? Hmm ....
  2. Anyone considering 18650s and size/space isn't an issue, you may want to move up a level or 2. https://www.batterypowertips.com/18650-21700-30700-4680-and-other-li-ions-whats-the-difference-faq/#:~:text=The 21700 has about 50,on the internal cell construction.
  3. Doubt if you can, and don't think you'd need or want to have a car. The island is only about 4 sq kms. Just rent bikes or scooter, if need or want to go to the other side. Or walk. One side to the other is < 2kms. Have you looked at a map ?
  4. Hell no, way too many 1 night stands. Especially in the states, mid week meat market bar specials, all you can drink - 1 price ... ???? ... wed / thurs nights every week. That and happy hours at pubs w/free food. Cheap, fun living. Easy to find a like minded chickie out for fun. OK, we ate and drank, now what, your place or mine ... ???? On the days I worked, I got done at 1430 hrs. Showered, hop the train to South St or other area, Philly, PA, USA, and happy hrs started 1630 ish till 2000 hrs. That was good for couple times a week. One part of living in Philly that I do miss. Didn't even have to drive ???? Amazing I still have my liver ... ????
  5. As has every other topic or subject matter ... but ...
  6. Being careful is. Before law mandated, If I thought I was at risk, I'd wear it. Usually not local around town driving. Nobody actually goes fast enough. On highway at speed, of course. Where I am now, I rarely drive over 50 kph, that's kms not mile p/h, as does everyone else. More like 35ish. Same when I lived in Udon Thani, within ring rd, about the same speeds, if lucky. Wouldn't wear if not mandated. On the ring rd, or out to the house, via highway, yea, why not, as you never know. Actually the conversation, and y'all comments are a bit irrelevant, as been wearing for about the last 30+ yrs, if not 40. If you're going to get in a taxi @ 0400 hr ... yea, you should have had your seatbelt on. Uncommon common sense.
  7. MG sales, before vs after production move to China https://www.statista.com/statistics/385386/mg-car-sales-in-the-united-kingdom/
  8. Haven't owned a USA made car for the last 37 yrs. No returning, once you had Asian ???? Last few decades, buying history, backwards for me: MG ZS - new Mazda2 - new Toyota Vios - new Toyota vios - new in TH, 2002 Ford Escort (last one made wholly by Mazda) ... USA Nissan Maxima Mazda 323 Nissan P/U - only 'new' vehicle I bought in USA (1985 ?) Big 3, all brands - all 2nd hand (only 1 truck / F-100) Datsun 310 - Wife's 'new' car, just prior to marriage (1979) Big 3 again VW hippie van (1st car, bought 1974)
  9. Only people with Alzheimer's remembers the EU & US making good, dependable cars. I believe the govt, Japanese & Chinese automakers are the ones that bailed out the going bankrupt EU & US automakers. Not the other way around ... nuff said If they didn't diversify their investments to Japanese & Chinese companies, to be profitable, none of the EU & US marques may not even exist today. Joining that very long list of extinct car makers.
  10. MG ZS range claims Drive Best Overall Value Car of the Year Award for 2021 MG HS named Middle East 'Car of the Year' for 2020 MG takes double honours in Auto Trader New Car Awards MG becomes a top-10 brand in Australia Best Value New Car Award 2021 – MG ZS MG ZS EV voted 'Car of the Year 2022 MG has been named as the Best Value Brand 2020, as voted for by over 181,000 UK car buyers for the fourth annual Auto Trader New Car Awards. 'MG's sales must rank as the success story of the year MG was voted the in the top 10 for most reliable car brands in the prestigious WhatCar? Awards
  11. Maybe on the racetrack, a bit more invested in those. My brother was happy if his MGB even started, or got him back home.
  12. Because, supposedly, designed at the Longbridge, Birmingham HQ, though not sure how true that is, today. Not sure they assemble anything in EU any more. "MG Motor designs, develops and markets cars sold under the MG marque, while vehicle manufacturing takes place at its factories in Europe and China. The design of the cars was originally engineered by MG Motors in Longbridge, Birmingham, United Kingdom." No different than all the other rebadged or made in China cars sold be so many other 'manufactures'... Do they have a 'Made in China' plate on the back of their cars. The list includes almost every EU & USA auto maker.
  13. 'Brit Dynamic' ???? I haven't a clue, but read into it what you want. Anyone not researching the purchases, well... ....nuff said.
  14. I would not hop in a Thai taxi at 0400 hrs, or take one that needs to drive on the highway at speed. I trust very few drivers; my brothers, and my wife & kid here (since I taught them) I drive myself, or I don't go.
  15. TBH, if not the law, I probably wouldn't wear one, except when driving on the highway at speed. Have yet to need the seat belt in 50 yrs of driving, and no airbag was ever deployed. Been in a few nasty crashes as a youngin', cars totaled, with no injuries. Those inexperienced drivers or who fail at defensive driving ... wear your seatbelt.
  16. Just half of the 'true' inflation would be nice. SS COLA 5.9% Medicare increase - 14.5% ... 1 step forward, 2 steps backward 3 more Medicare increases that far exceeded the SS COLA of 0.3%, 0.0%, 4.1% 2016 (16.1%), 2010 (14.6%), and 2005 (17.4%)
  17. Read the not so fine print ... Designed in GB ... but you knew that. Nobody claims or even implies they are made in the UK, and only an idiot would think that.
  18. Which one ... that a sad thought. WMD - Cheney, oops, Bush 2 If you like your Dr you can keep your Dr - Obama I did not have a sexual relationship with that woman - Clinton Read my lips, 'no new taxes' - Bush 1 I am not crook - Tricky Dick "We are not about to send American boys nine or 10 thousand miles away from home to do what Asian boys ought to be doing for themselves," - LBJ Reagan - "In 1983, President Ronald Reagan claimed he had filmed the atrocities of the Nazi death camps while serving as a US Army Signal Corps photographer in Europe....Reagan never left America during World War Two.
  19. You're Welcome ... now you can stop paying 2x as much. Have a nice day
  20. Plenty of current vids: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ko+lipe&sp=EgIIBA%3D%3D
  21. If a fan of SS, then you may want to up your game. Though does get mixed reviews. Has won a few awards. Use to be produced for export only, then I saw it last year available in Thailand, but a bit pricey. Not sure is still available here
