FedEx, UPS, DHL is no guarantee either, as they lose stuff also. Especially at Xmas time when using part time temporary help. One of those krap jobs I had ???? If OP knows someone in states, could send to them, and they could forward registered USPS, then would have a receipt.
-
Instead of paying silly FedEx, UPS, DHL prices, I'd just make 5 copies of the form, and send them regular post. At least would have to make it through. Pay for them all at the same time, but only mail 1 while at post office, then drop the other 4 off, on different days. Just in case the one box/bag carrying all at 1 point, gets lost. Sh!t happens. 22 yrs on, and all mine have made it, simply regular, cheap post.

Ukraine war: Nato says Poland probably hit by Ukrainian missile
KhunLA replied to Scott's topic in World News
Kind of makes you wonder, IMHO, how many other incidents, blamed on RU, were really false flags by UA to drum up support. When billions of $$$ are involved, you really can't believe anyone IMHO -
BKK to USA, Business Class, 200lbs Extra Baggage?
KhunLA replied to kokesaat's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
May be better/cheaper to send it as freight. Even by boat, if fits your timeline, and nothing perishable. -
Amnesty Urges Thai Govt To Help Stop Bloodshed In Myanmar
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
6 whole protesters marching to UN bldg ... ???? How and what exactly is TH supposed to do ? Not buy hydro energy or natural gas from them ? I see that's working out for the rest of the world vs RU ???? The HIPOCRACY. Part of belonging to ASEAN, is to NOT interfere in another countries internal affairs, actually written in agreement. No respect for Amnesty Int'l. Turn your attention to your member's countries and the atrocities you're committing worldwide. HQ - London ... UK being one of the top 10 arms suppliers of the world. More HIPOCRACY ... supplying toys of death for profits ???? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amnesty_International#Criticism_and_controversies -
Why many bikes have no Green Book?
KhunLA replied to canerandagio's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
If copy of, possibly lost green book, or worse, doesn't match the bike. Others, simply never registered, dodgy imports (larger bikes). Cheaper to pay the fines whenever, than register, or risk confiscated if attempt to register. Huge stolen bike market. Without enforcement, easy to have with no repercussions. Get stopped, pay fine, then on your way. TRUST NOBODY ... do it all legally with both parties at proper office. -
PEA and Solar how low can you go?
KhunLA replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
The new FT rates would have added quite a bit to our rental/PEA bill, as we averaged 600-700 units a month. The normal without covid discounts was quite noticeable, and that before the FT increases proposed. Also explains some of the hotel room rates I've been seeing lately, as considerably higher than before. Doubt if they're getting discounts, and of course need to pass that along to the customers. Double whammy to the tourist industry, as I read airfares are way up also. Those having the funds, are probably getting some sticker shock when planning. Next year's going to have a lot of crying about their PEA bills, when discounts are discontinued. -
PEA and Solar how low can you go?
KhunLA replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Yes, FT is per unit, times your 57 units. Since less than 300 units, discount credited as shown on your bill. So your FT tax was all of ฿0.79 -
The REAL EV vehicle discussion thread.....
KhunLA replied to transam's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
All those 'specific' BS taxes, would make sense, IF, they were actually used for their specific purpose when proposed. I think we all know they simply go to the general tax fund, and then wasted with all the other taxes. Which is one thing I like about TH, the majority of tax revenue comes from 'higher' incomes & business taxes, and the VAT, which equates to those who use more of the gov't serves and have more and can afford their toys, pay a higher portion of the taxes. Actually kind of fair, and gives the poor folks a break. -
Nothing wrong or 'different' with the docs here vs say USA. They saved my life last month, having a medical oops, and quick-ish, competent action prolonged the inevitable. This at a small gov't (PKK) hospital, nurses stabilized me, then transferred to a larger gov't (Hua Hin) hospital for the life-saving procedure. I've had back surgery in the USA by excellent staff, along with not letting one doc touch me, as research showed he was unsuccessful in almost all his surgeries. There are good and bad docs / professionals in all fields. Better research if elective, better luck, if an emergency, such as mine. Private vs govt hosp, and I have to say I've had better care at govt/university hospitals, than overprice private hospitals.

What work did you do back in your home country?
KhunLA replied to Non Immigrant's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Jack of All, master of only my self employment: ... Chimney Sweep ... Truck driver ... Slum Lord ... Market Investor ... Firearms sales 30+ (going nowhere) salaried jobs with employers, with one exception, most lasting 1 to 3 months. A couple shy of 1 year. A few I actually enjoyed: Lithographic printing Photo/negative developing Baker -
The amount of inflation in TH, compared to most other countries, very little, along with the minimum requirements for long term visa (40k/65k monthly), I can't believe anyone is struggling here. It would really take a major mis-management of your funds to end up at the end of the month, without enough. Especially if owning home and car, or don't even have a car and rent inexpensively, <10k a month.

RU citizens are not the RU gov't/policy makers. Just like USA/NATO country citizens do not make govt policy. Should all the NATO member citizens been banned from travel or their possessions confiscated when they decided to invade & occupy Iraq & Afghan. for 10-15 year, with anywhere from 500k to 1+ million killed & millions displaced, depending what reports you believe. How many UN resolutions has Israel ignored, and their control over Palestine, and yet, they are free to do & go as they please The hypocrisy on this forum is mind boggling.

Govt: Thailand to Become International Hub of Electric Vehicles
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Where does the lithium come from for your phone or laptop batteries, that you are on now. Along with all the materials, toxic chemicals used to produce microchips & processors. Where do think they come from and who's mining them. Not to mention the huge amount of energy and wasted water to manufacture them. Adding to all the water pollution while doing so. May want to look up the word hypocrite on your eco unfriendly device. Just a thought. Your ignorance is showing: "a battery with only a 5 to 10 year life" ... and yet, they, most EVs here, give an 8 yr warranty. I expect mine (EV/solar ESS) to last 10-20-30 years. You take care of them, they'll take care of you. -
I lived in Germantown TN, Outside Memphis TN, not the Philly neighborhood. Had to look on Gmap to refresh my memory where Philly Germantown even is. That's embarrassing. Don't think I ever made it there either, unless passing through. Been next door at Manayunk area, more than few times. As that area along the river went upscale, sort of like a South St vibe, but more relaxed, and much safer after dark, as South St is not safe/comfortable, after 'dark time' arrives, even with the huge police presence. Need to be out of that area by 8pm. Which I always was as last train out was 8:30pm, well after happy hour ???? Hope that wasn't too racist.
