Very good news. As the US market is now closed to much of the world's goods, the brands will get a bit of modesty and stop ripping off consumers in Europe or Asia with absurdly high prices. Time to think it over and reduce import duty rates in Thailand maybe and lower the market value of the Bhat.

If Thailand wants to survive. 1. Stop putting such high tax on imports. 2. After reducing the import duty, negotiate with America. 3. Thailand has been cheating consumers both local and tourists for decades with absurdly high import duty tarifs and over charging in all the malls and shopping outlets. This is the backlash of years of greed. Time now to get back to senses, drop the import duty rates such as to get a deal with the USA. If not, retail business is doomed in Thailand.

I cannot but agree. Head quite a few complaints how falang villa owners are badly served in Hua Hin. Some acquaintances in Hua Hin are now getting their workers from Pattaya or Bangkok areas for villa maintenance/upgrading. They just were fed up in being overcharged and bad work with most of the Hua Hin construction contractor characters.
