One Man and the River: A mission that triggered tidal wave of criticism
connda replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
He could be swimming 5km in a straight line, but perhaps is adding the how far he'll be pushed down river by the current. -
My experience wayyyy back in my Window 3.1 Help Desk days is that no matter what we told the end users - they'd end up bricking their system. Take it to a shop and buy a bigger hard-drive and have the tech reconfigure it for you.

I don't "Fall in Love" with men. Even ones that look like this. My tailor would say that this lass "dresses right." For those of you who have been to a tailor.

Well stated!

"Falling In Love." What's that really mean? What it really is is a biological imperative wired into the human hormonal system that attempts to guarantee human propagation. In this current era of Caligula-like morality, it probably doesn't matter. The chances of you impregnating your robotic sex-doll is about zero. I'll leave it at that. Have I fallen in love with women? Yep. Back when I was young, dumb, and full of ????...excess sexual energy. However, the years have tempered that imperative. Number one: I shoot blanks. Two - I understand what those feeling are. My feelings that attract me to a woman nowaday are much more then coursing testosterone. It's a decision to weigh the pros and cons of the relationship. If I just want sex - well, I live in Thailand. I know where to find it. So it's not about sex. At best I can say that I care for certain women. That's about as far as it goes now. "Falling in love?" Not a chance.

Gen Prawit calls for proactive measures to curb road accidents
connda replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand will never decrease road accidents as long as their only enforcement happens at road blocks or after an accident has already occurred. Thailand has NO proactive enforcement. That would require cops in patrol cars pulling people over for moving violations. And my educated guess? That ain't never happening. I personally think they want chaos on the roads. If they had cops issuing citations for moving violations then the wrong (rich and wealthy) folks may be inconvenienced. You know, like weaving in and out of traffic and driving on the shoulders at 150 kpm while taking selfies.- 47 replies

The "Customer Is Always Right" doesn't apply to returns in Thailand.

Come on. Be real. We've heard the same story with the shoe on the other foot a hundred times over. If AN wrote these "woe and tears" stories about all the foreign guys conned by Thai women, they wouldn't have space for any other posts. To the woman who was conned: Did you learn anything? What's next? Nigerian romance scams? Educate yourselves and stop falling for these scams.

However the trick is? Removing all the the bloatware, junkware, app that you yourself didn't install, pre-installed c**p by Google, etc etc etc.

It doesn't matter. It adds to the gist of the topic.

This is why I simple state that all 'smart-phones' were explicitly designed as spyware and private data collection devices.
-
I'll play with that. I'm running ADB via Linux and bridging the phone in developer mode. I'll try ADB native on the phone just for grins and giggles.
-
Exactly. ADB has a "root" switch, but the phone architecture can override it.

That's probably the best solution as it seems that Kasikorn in the intermediary bank for international transfers - for whatever reason. -
It doesn't work on mine. I also want to be about to flash a custom ROM when needed without bricking the phone.
-
"I'm not adverse to buy used phones." I.e, Used phones would be fine. Probably preferred. As you said, I'm just going to flash it with a custom ROM. You were correct. Nice site for checking out specifications. Then I just need a site where I can purchase an older, used phone.
