Governor warns of fuel station scams this Songkran

The prices posted are the "starting" prices that you find (close to) on the eastern seaboard (Pattaya, Rayong etc.) and Bangkok. The further away the more is added. We pay about 0.5 Baht more. AND: from my Samui visit during COVID time I know that there must be a much higher "Island" surcharge. -
18% fuel price increase leading to 18% increase of "everything". Hard to believe what economic geniuses are posting here,

Price ceiling was lifted effective April 2. 100 billion Baht have been burned for that since September. So far not much impact (except Shell with +0.5). Maybe due to the promise of PTT that prices during Songkran won't rise. (most info from The Nation) It's naive to assume that Thai fuel prices follow simple market mechanisms/oil price. It's a complicated system (oil fund) and politically driven. One effect is the stable Diesel price and high flying 95 gasohol. 91 promoted to be significantly cheaper than 95.

I have 32 pages now back to Nov 13 last year. OK the cloud is big and I don't whether it impacts performance in any kind?

A good time to buy your Baht
KhunBENQ replied to delgarcon's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
After the big Asian crisis 1997/1998 most currencies jumped to new higher levels. That lasted until the other big financial crisis became obvious (Lehman breakdown). GBP got an extra hit after the Brexit decision 2016. So the current gains triggered by terrible/populist financial policies in Thailand are nice but nothing historic yet. -

After burning 100 billion Baht for the Diesel price cap they might have to stop the nonsense with 91. No wonder the currency melts. -

The small village pumps don't have 91 anymore. Interestingly the wise government decided to subsidize 91 to make a significant price difference which was marginal for many years. As 91 is good enough for scooters, lawn mowers etc. this might well lead to a shortage. Overall the price difference was about 0.25 and now that: The prices show the reverse side of the good exchange rates (weak THB) combined with rising oil prices. 95 now at about 1 EUR. -

BTW it would be interesting to know where the OP is located. Bandwidth shortage can be a local issue. -

But still traffic volume differs about 2:1 over 24h. I don't have statistics for Thailand. This is from Frankfurt DE-CIX. Interestingly the peak is at 14h UTC which is 15h local. -
I had edited after reading that turning north from M7 might be closed. To the OP: rethink your plan. Is there no other appointment possible? Postponing is not an option?

Bangkok traffic has little to do with Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya. Exit airport, enter motorway 7 and straight to Pattaya. Airport is on the south east corner of the metro area and strictly not even in Bangkok.

Chicken on the stick cost me 150 lately. 100 when I came to Thailand. Most all food stuff even domestic has sharply increased. Favorite Lindt chocolate was 84 in 2011. Villa puts a 140 price tag now. Air dried French salami cost me 590 for 250 grams last month. Enjoy cheap electronics and invest saved money in delicatessen.

Just did a simple test. 7 AM. Mobile via WiFi connected to 3BB (taken over by AIS). 1000/500 package. Results about 40 Mbit/s both directions to/from Frankfurt (Deutsche Telekom). Pretty normal for 2.4 GHz WiFi 5(?). Can try on the desktop later. -
Would suggest you go through the thread to find that is ANOTHER PLACE than the one that the topic starter refers too (presented by vlogger/bar manager Buzzin Pattaya). It's on SOUTH PATTAYA rd.

So this one is off South Pattaya rd not far from Friendship market, https://maps.app.goo.gl/9tvLCxWNixnPYBqu7

To make more xenophobic headlines. Since the Swiss in Phuket kicking a woman there is massive finger pointing. Foreigners are bad.
