  1. Twitter hash tag #3bbล่ม in Thai language is full of mockery ????
  2. Yes there is not the usual LOS (loss of signal).
  3. I didn't even try. Wouldn't expect anything better.
  4. No Internet connection via 3BB Website via mobile: down (3bb.co.th). 3BB app via mobile wont start https://3bb.co.th/
  5. Speculating: crazy tinted windshield glass plus taillight at the trailer as bright as a candle.
  6. Even state visitors go by train from Poland. Air-force One didn't make it to Kyiv. Western Ukraine is mostly unaffected by warfare except for some arbitrary long range attacks to terrify the population.
  7. About >two months< ago they completed a takeover and rebuild of a private pump station in our area and now a shining Esso station
  8. Break and honk persistent. And Huay Yai rd is not a race track.
  9. Oh how sad. Why kill yourself for a failed relationship with a Thai bar girl! (read the full article)
  10. I am through with my TURP. i had opened a thread about that: https://aseannow.com/topic/1300477-turp-prostate-in-khon-kaen-udon-thani-or/ I have described the outcome in the post from August 15. What remains: retrograde ejaculation, an ongoing urethal tract infection (taking antibiotics, urine still not completely clear). All in all it seems I was quite lucky, no significant pain. Urination works well, willy not dead. Kidney function back to normal, big relief. Worst was the shocking moment after catheter removed and close to nothing worked. Took half a day or so to overcome.
  11. Lucky that they realized your UK license. That multiple choice test with 50 questions (45 must be right) is not that easy without preparing.
  12. This beer promotion can not be viewed with a Thai IP. No loss.
  13. Happy I could reduce my visits to once a year. For me this new location is not great. I liked the bus station (coming from the west).
  14. Is it this one, construction site on a Street View from November 22?:
  15. No recent but a few years ago I had a checkup at Memorial Hospital and was quite satisfied. It's centrally located and medium sized not such a mega complex like Bangkok Hospital. Their most comprehensive checkup for males 50+ cost 10500 Baht. See yourself: https://www.pattayamemorial.com/DetailList.aspx?id=608559 Incl. chest x-ray, ECG and whole abdomen ultrasound which detects some (not all) potential problems with organs (fatty liver, prostate size/residual urine, ...).
  16. And going on for quite a while. Kasikorn and Bangkok Bank both on the front with branch closures and ATM network shrinking.
  17. Yes it is of course not an instant/quick method. But I usually transfer some funds to the WISE account as soon as pension is on German account. Then watch rate and hope to hit a good time to send.
  18. Maybe worth mentioning: I always transfer from my WISE account (Belgian IBAN). I fill up that account from my German bank account (DKB) with normal SEPA transfer. So far never a problem.
  19. Wrong. Beagles recently in the press. They also have German shepherds on the airport premises, maybe for security only.
  20. Not missed but what is dramatic here over the weekend. No reason to hold transfers.
  21. Not much to find at WISE. https://wise.com/help/articles/2960081/theres-a-problem-with-the-website Private/Incognito window might be worth a try.
  22. Very similar to my procedures except the SMS thing, I can't and will not transfer anytime soon. I >once< had this "takes longer" with Euro to Baht. Annoying and making me nervous. In the end (day 3?) transfer done as ordered. Maybe someone comes up with similar experience.
  23. I don't think so. Thai Baht is boringly slow/stable in exchange to Euro. It would really surprise me if this would be affected. I remember some clause from the past that they might cancel a transaction if the rate swings more than 15% between order and execution. These volatiles are more like Turkish lira and similar.
