Better to look online. Plenty of secondhand private sales. No dealer mark-up and often genuine low mileage sales with service history.. As normal. buyer beware.

Search Facebook sales groups - "Cars for sale in Pattaya" etc

Definitely don´t buy in Pattaya, you can get better price in Bkk (I just bought my car few months ago). Actually I was driving from Pattaya on Sukhumvit all he way to Bkk to see local small shops, but the Bkk is really the place. Good place to have a look is one2car place, you should be able to negotiate some discount from advised price when you get to a shop.

Depending on the model, most brands have big second hand certified car lots in BKK.

Personally OP having been in your place looking for a used car in both areas you mention. I wouldnt touch any dealers i went to looking overpriced farang scammers. Look on the Internet bhat sold ect plenty of FB pages for selling cars. I found one after a few weeks of looking a great deal and a better motor than any of the dealers were offering at the time.

I bought two cars from Mike, a Jazz and later an Isuzu, both were excellent vehicles and he didn't hesitate to fix a couple of minor things later. Highly recommend him.
