BANGKOK: -- Officers from the Crime Suppression Division swooped in Bangkok yesterday arresting an alleged internet fraudster who conned Forex hopefuls out of 4 million baht.

Thirawat Adulyasak, 37, from Ban Jan in Udon was arrested near Central Festival Eastville in Pradit Manutham Road.

He was wanted on a Phitsanulok warrant for committing fraud online by offering weekly or monthly interest in a scam involving investments in foreign currency.

Using his job at an investment company as a front police said he conned eleven people out of their money.

He had even promised Bitcoin for the gullible investors but in the end disappeared with all the money.

Daily News reported on the story saying it was a con involving "FOREK".
