Fire at plastic factory in Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- A plastic factory in Bangkok’s Thawee Vadhana district was engulfed in fire early Thursday, police said.

The fire at the factory of Maxmetic Co Ltd on Borommaratchachonnani Soi 64 began at 2.30am.

 

Police said the fire started at the front of the building and swept through it quickly.

 

Ten fire engines took about one and a half hours to control the blaze.

 

Chayapakorn Chusri, 23, a nephew of the company owner, said he heard two explosions in front of the factory.

 

When he came out to check, he found the flames spreading quickly through the factory.
