A speeding pickup crashed into a somtam shop at a roadside in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Muang district on Wednesday morning, injuring the shop owner.

Sakaoduan Chaihohng, 48, the owner of the shop, was slightly injured to her legs and hip and taken to a nearby hospital.

The woman was preparing grilled chicken when the accident happened at 6.50am.

The pickup driver, Supachai Piasai, 27, said he had been driving his daughter to school when another pickup cut across his path, forcing him to swerve to the left and crash into the shop.

A witness told police that Supachai’s pickup had been speeding so it could not stop in time when another vehicle changed lanes to try to park on the roadside.

Looks to me like he swerved to the right.

Oh Supachai, just admit it - you were driving too fast.

If he did that he'd be banged to right. A witness who says he was speeding isn't proof he was. His word against others that say he was.
