sustanon Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I have two driving licence, both expired on September 25, 2017, and both are at the police station. they took the first one because the color of the scooter is not all black, but black and white. the second one today, for driving with an expired driving license. what should I do? can I make new driving licence at the DLT? or I have to pay to have the old ones, then pay again to make the new ones?
transam Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Did you ask the BiB the route you must take...? How did the BiB find out you changed the colour of the bike...?
sustanon Posted October 5, 2017 Author Posted October 5, 2017 is not about this. they will always stop for something even if all legal they always give me a ticket. i dont care about this i know already how things work in here i just want to know what is the best to do for have legal and up to date driving licence back. now if they stop me i still have an international driving licence. after i can give them my italian driving licence. after that i dont have anything more to give and they will take the keys of motorbike and that is the only thing i dont want

You must sort that with the BiB because it will be registered on computer..You cannot pay road tax unless you clear your problem with the BiB....If you changed the colour of your bike you must go to the transport office to get the bike book amended..
sustanon Posted October 5, 2017 Author Posted October 5, 2017 no i dont need to pay road taxes becouse i dont own any bike or car, i rent only a bike. about the colour, the bike is not mine so i dont care to change the book. and even if it would, doesent matter, they will always find something wrong i just want to know if i have to pay the fine, after go dlt and have new driving licences. or i can just go to the dlt and make new driving licence? since i am not sure that i have time to waste a day at the dlt near pattaya, next month i will be in ubon ratchatani, maybe things easyer there?
Briggsy Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 What did the rental company say? Do they have your passport? They will not be too happy. I assume they will want their bike back at some point. Do the police have the bike now?

transam Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 If they have your license for "legal" reasons the license place will know about it. If you say you have lost your license l believe they will want a police report... I do not understand why they took your a license because of colour when you had a rented bike...Explain...?
KhunBENQ Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 2 hours ago, transam said: Go pay the fines.. Sums it up fine. Bet you can not renew the license without clearing your fines. If you are fined for the repainting/wrong color: present it to the renter. If he does not take responsibility find another renter. You could of course try to complain at the police station. Whether they care? Continuing to use this incorrect vehicle book will earn you a fine at every checkpoint. For changing the vehicle book the bike would have to be inspected at the DLT. As you seem to live here on a longtime basis: If you use your international driving permit they will give you the third fine. If you use your Italian license they will give you the fourth fine.

I do not understand why they took your a license because the colour of a rented bike was not original and so not your problem...It does not add up....What did the rental shop say when you told them about the problem....?

I would like to know if there is a database between police and DLT. and if i go ubon ratchatani for get new driving licences.

richard_smith237 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 When the Police confiscated your license, you will have been given a receipt. On that receipt will be information of the issuing station, go there, pay the fine and have your Bike license returned. It seem you don't want to be helped with any of the 'other' issues you are facing because you 'know how things work here'... but so do the guys with years of vast experience here who have learnt how to avoid most issues and have offered you advice...

Oh dear... I read this thread, saw your attitude and was reluctant to reply as I'm sure others have been. People don't like to help idiotic twits, calm down a little, attempt a little humility and life may go your way a little more often.
steve187 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 they will not issue new licences without the old ones or a police report that they are lost, so your up a creek wiyjout a paddle
KhunBENQ Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I think you have been told what to do more than once. Before this thread does a few more rounds it's closed
