The Department of Geology of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on Thursday unveiled fossilized bones of what was thought to be those of the biggest plant-eating dinosaur ever found in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Mr Niwat Maneekhat, deputy director-general of the Department of Geology, said that the first fossilized bone was found in a pond in Ban Panangsua in Chaiyaphum by a fisherman on March 2 last year.

Later on, geology experts and paleontologists conducted more excavations in the pond and surrounding areas where they uncovered an addition of over 20 pieces of fossilized bones with the biggest one about 178 cm long.
