Woman, 91, accuses man, 64, of attempted rape

A 91-year-old woman has accused her 64-year-old neighbour of trying to rape her while she was sleeping alone in her house in Lampang province.

Hearing the woman’s cries for help, neighbours rushed to her aid and found the man, who appeared to be drunk, coming out of the house late Tuesday night.

 

The incident happened in Ban Rai Khuangpao, in Tambon Saenthong, Muang district.

 

Police were informed of the incident at around 12.20am on Wednesday. They took the man for questioning. He was released pending results of forensic tests.

 

The woman is living alone with distant relatives who visit her during the day to provide some help.

 

Neighbours told police that they heard the woman shout for help and rushed to her house only to find it locked from the inside. After they knocked the door and called the woman for a while, they saw the man come out.

 

The neighbours said the man did not give any reply when asked why he had entered the house. He simply walked away. When the neighbours rushed into the house, they found the woman looking frightened.

 

The nonagenarian appeared exhausted and had scratches on her arms and shin, and was taken to Lampang Hospital.

My guess is that he was so drunk he went into the wrong house by mistake, I do it all the time :)

You would need to be more than drunk to mount a 91 year-old. And the Vaseline required would make it prohibitively expensive. And a bag. Two.
