CAT Telecom in Koh Samui have admitted there is a big problem with their routers.

The machines that broadcast signals for computer notebooks and phones to access the internet have mysteriously gone wrong.

By yesterday 300 angry customers had returned their WiFi routers to the HQ on the island.

Manager Namphon Rakdee said the problem had persisted for three days and he admitted all the routers of CAT Telecom could be affected.

He wasn't sure of the cause but suggested it is probably some faulty signal causing them all to malfunction.

He urged customers to bring in the routers to get a replacement.

He expected the problem to grow in size in the coming days, said Sanook.

...more commonly known as a hack.

Most likely a bad router firmware upgrade, most router manufacturers are putting out updates to fix recently discovered wifi password security vulnerabilities.

wifi password security vulnerabilities.

Get used to it chillun. As the world we know becomes ever more dependent on computers expect more such and expect them to actually start impacting our lives. Banks already hacked in the millions- imagine if none of us can use a credit/ debit card! Catastrophic, and all self inflicted.

Gosh! Wow! No Internet for a short while... a dark day indeed for the world. Be good for them to unplug for a while and realise how ridiculously addicted everyone is to it. Maybe they will get people collapsing with psychological stress episodes because they haven't used Farcebook for a day.

Just wait till the next big solar storm or pulse hits Thailand just right.
