Earthquake in Chiang Rai

Featured Replies

Just felt a pretty good bump here. Seemed a lot like the aftershocks from the one about 5 years ago.

Just checked, seems like it was Myanmar, 4.3 magnitude

I didn't feel it. Wish I had.  Maybe I was doing jumping jacks at the time.  I have felt several earthquakes in the past (formerly resided in California), and have felt 3 here prior, including the Boxer Day biggie which caused tsunamis.   I was up early that morning, sitting at a badly constructed (loose leg) table, and it rocked slightly.  Amazing that a force from hundreds of miles away, far south of Singapore, could be felt up here in C.Rai.
