About 400 tourists visit Phu Chi Fa per day

By The Nation

About 400 tourists are visiting Phu Chi Fa mountaintop in Chiang Rai's Thoeng district to enjoy the morning sea of mist with 500 rooms almost all booked throughout New Year, a local operator said.

Banthoeng Kruawong, chairman of the community tourism club in Chiang Rai, said tourists had been visiting Phu Chi Fa since the beginning to this month to enjoy the chilly weather and sea of mist from the cliff view, with an estimated average 400 tourists.

Banthoeng said he expected that the number of tourists from the end of this month to the New Year holidays would be about 2,000 to 3,000 per day.

On Thursday, the temperature on the mountaintop that overlooks the Thai-Lao border was about 15 degrees Celsius.

It's a great place. Been there 3 times, and it's cold ;) if you go there remember to bring jackets, jeans, and a warm hat.
