New Guinea Flatworm invasive pest in Thailand

Featured Replies

Serious story about New Guinea Flatworm. Not native to Thailand.

It's a slug type animal that's on the 100 top invasive species in the world. Eats snails and earthworms to extinction.

Finally found it's way into Thailand, which is very bad news for native soil biodiversity.

No known predator, so it's a really big pest in many countries, including USA.

If seen in your garden, eradicate the flatworm by dousing with scalding hot water, or liberal covering of normal table salt.

Only a matter of time before the local street market lady has them cooked up with chile and salt next to the crickets
