Cowboy (sh!t kickin') bars? Used to be one themed that way in CM....

Don't know if it still exists....

Nothing like the legendary Saddlerack/Gillies/The Palomino/Billy Bobs/or Little Nashville......

Not that I've been everywhere in C M, but I'd say probably not. The night scene in C M is so pathetic that it's hard to find a decent bar anywhere I've looked.

Having said that, the nearest I've seen anywhere in LOS was in Pattaya when there was a bar with a huge ?Stetson hat over the portion outside next to Soi 2 Second Rd, but that went many years ago.

The only mechanical bull was off Walking St, Pattaya, but that has also gone.

Is Country Roads still open in BKK?  Otherwise, CM Saloon was once owned by a Texan, and then there is Fat Elvis....mostly Lefty backpackers though.  John's Place has been playing Born on the Bayou four times a day for thirty years, but with Hutch and Bullard both dead, not many Southerners in there, and CCR is from NorCal anyways.  I did take home a girl from Had Yai on LK one evening..that's pretty far south.

I'm guessin' I'm outta luck then.

I checked CM Saloon it seems way off scene. The interior decorations "resembles" the style but that's about it :/

Other than dodgy "Irish pubs" with a few Irish knick nacks on the walls, I don't think LOS does fake ethnic much, and certainly not well.

Some years ago there was a Thai western movie made and I got the feeling that it was a bit of a fad, but seems to have vanished without trace since they all started walking around with a machine in their face, along with a lot of what made LOS a place worthwhile of my affection.

Unfortunately, the present regime seems to be trying to eliminate the only night life that LOS did well, and there isn't much worthwhile to replace it.

There were two Country & Western bars (real C&W) in Sansai - Mae Jo area for many years but the land was sold for development and both bars packed up and closed. Haven't seen any others around.
