Tiger Air have announced they will start a new 4x a week service between Perth and Singapore in March.

The no-frills airline have stated return fares will start from under $A300. (bht 8,400).

Combined with a cheap connecting Singapore- Bangkok (or Phuket) flight, it is potentially a cheap ride to Thailand.

Valuair didn't last long on that route. Maybe this will do better - it should.
