GPRS internet for GSP vehicle tracker

Featured Replies

I planning to install GPS tracker into my motorbike. Device using GPRS internet for positioning and sending data about vehicle.  Any advises which sim card should i buy for it and how to setup GPRS with lower possible cost of usage. Thanks.

Set it up in such a way that it only works (start, boot-up) after motion detect. The motion detector can activate the phone/simcard and start sending data.

GPRS is just the first version of mobile data on a 2G network. You might be lucky to even find a service provider that still does 2G as It went GPRS>Edge>3G>4G.

Check the manual to see if you can use 3G/4G and if so pick a package, if you are living here then get a volume based Post paid package as you will get more for data for your money, generally 3-400 will get you 3-5gb.

If it only takes GPRS (2G) then probably best get a more compatible tracker.
