Section 7b of Microsoft's Services EULA no more Pirated software

    .

After more and more people experience several software problems that might be created by illegal software, Microsoft might have added some "extra software" to its last update to check your machine completely.

MS Office 2013 and 2016 copies might soon be past. Of course plenty of other software that you might have on your machine, especially when done by a computer shop in LOS.  Perhaps time to go shopping. Ebay is a great alternative. How about you?

Windows 10 Checks For Pirate Bay Torrents, Bootleg Games And Hardware Automatically

Don't plan on using any games or bootleg software downloaded from the Pirate Bay on Windows 10. The End User License Agreement in the new operating system makes it clear that Windows 10 is capable of scanning user machines and prohibiting them from using any services that appear to have been obtained illegall

By agreeing to these terms, ( Section 7b of Microsoft's Services EULA ) Alphr.com reported, users are enabling Microsoft to sift through their files in search of the vaguely defined “unauthorized hardware peripheral devices,” which could mean anything from modified Xbox controllers to unauthorized versions of Microsoft Office.

Which new update? Creator's Update? What effects have you noted?

MS office 2016 on a desktop and a notebook, plus a MS Office 2013 installation on a school computer. Plus a few others, PC's of friends.

All within two weeks and short after the last bigger update. I assume it's got something to do with the KB 4048955.

It shows that the software isn't genuine, product not activated. Affecting all sorts of programs.

Interesting. Will look into it.

I don't have cracked software installed  on either 7 Ultimate or 10 Pro, so wouldn't have noticed.

No I can't....they come and go....the person I bought from had sold many, many Office  licenses....ditto for the person I bought the Win 10 Pro licenses off of.

Edit:  I looked up the seller I bought the Win 10 Pro licenses off of....seller name was vendedor2018...doesn't have any items for sale right now. But his ratings was 948 positive, 2 neutral, and 0 negatives for last 12 months.  Can't fine the seller I bought the three MS Office licenses of

narnia1981 It's a German seller, but it doesn't matter to activate. He's sold 2,100 already and all people are happy.

250 baht only. I've bought from him, he's okay. You might have to wait 20 hours for your key, depending on the time of the order.

No idea if you can access the page, because my Kaspersky brings me to a secure page.

You probably fine most sellers of low cost Win 10, Win 10 Pro,  and MS Office 2016 based in Europe as they are reselling licenses "removed/uninstalled" off of machines in Europe where it's legal to do that.

Been using MS Office Pro 2016 since Dec-2015 from TPB on legal regularly updated Win10, it runs without issue. Does all the office updates as well.

There'll be the day when you get the message that it's not activated.

And you can buy these for between £6 and £15 on amazon.co.uk. Obviously, as the only thing you receive is an emailed key and a download link there are no delivery issues.

HOWEVER..... I do NOT know what will happen when you activate it from Asia but I suspect using a proxy server may help if it doesn't work...at your own risk, of course.

A recent Ebay Win10 purchase called in to Microsoft support showed it to be a genuine new build/repair OEM licence never used before. I can only guess that Office OEM's will return the same single activation result.

Microsoft are throwing blocks of Win10 OEM licences around like peanuts which was all part of the original plan. They were late to the data harvesting party and have much catching up to do.

Not sure I get that comment. @maxpowerNot saying you're wrong, but could you explain please.

If you'd prefer, send me a  PM.

I activated two keys for MS OPffice 2016 in LOS without problems. Should anybody have problems doing so, please activate it online, or get in touch with Microsoft support.

The number of desktop users is falling to mobile users and developers are following the young crowd. Google and others have shown that data collecting through the free model is extremely successful. Microsoft is now on a mission to widen its install base and use data to sell further upstream rather than copy the Facebook and Google models.

Google is your friend for further info on Microsofts future plans.
