Kao Tam Roy Doi Kham walk-run event to raise funds for Baan Yang community

Doi Kham Food Company Limited is to stage the “Kao Tam Roy Doi Kham” (Follow the Footsteps Project by Doi Kham)  charitable walk-run event in Chiang Mai on March 4 next year.

 

Sorapas Sutthienkul, Executive Vice President of the agricultural product company said that charitable walk-run event comprises the 21km half marathon (application fee BT900 each), the 9km mini marathon (application fee BT700 each) and the 2km fun run (application fee BT500 each).

 

Each applicant will receive a shirt and a memorable medal. All profits will be used for two charity purposes which are the Baan Yang Community’s scholarship and study equipment and the purchase of  medical equipment for Baan Yang’s Public Health Center. Sport equipment will be donated to children in the community as well.

Sorapas further added that the inaugural “Kao Tam Roy Doi Kham” charitable walk-run event is due on Sunday 4, March, 2018 in front of the Instant Food Factory 1 (Fang), Baan Yang village, in Fang district in Chiang Mai. Founded in 1972 , the factory is where  Doi Kham project, under the initiation of  His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej originated.

 

Participants of the event will enjoy beautiful nature along the tracks and experience traditional culture and the unique Yunnan architectural style. Apart from the products from the royal initiated projects, agricultural products from the royal factory will be available during the event as well
