Maybe Mr. Pickering took the time to read the threads for the previous POTY contests.  It's fascinating reading, right?

Sure, but why has he dismissed admins post that neither of the leaders were involved in vote fixing...?

We all know it wasn't the leaders themselves who directly did the vote fixing, but rather some of their over-zealous supporters.  Emotions run high in contests where the stakes are so high.  Just ask Jared Kushner when he actually believed the Russians when they said they had a video of Hillary taking a bag of money from them and he agreed to a meeting before the election.

The front runners in POTY have their own versions of loose-cannon Jared.

Do you not think you’re taking this whole POTY thing a tad too seriously?

I think it’s main purpose so far this year has been to enable geronimo to get their post count up...he wants that next dot, real bad.

?

I've been tumbled! :passifier:

Geronimo, do you still have an semblance of a family life after spending the holiday time glued to your keyboard?  The only thing that saved me during the 2014 and 2015 contests was that Hubby found some multi-day regional Rotary conventions during the heated times of the POTY contest, so he could go to meetings and meals and leave me in the hotel room with wifi and room service to fight it out on ThaiVisa.  Meanwhile, Mr. Bitey was touring the world in search of votes.  Ah, those were the days (not).  I'm so glad former winners are retired from POTY and I can spend the holidays freezing in Chiang Mai.  (those Rotary conventions in Malaysia or Indonesia might have been a better -- or at least warmer -- holiday option, now that I think about it)

Consider folks, if Trans is allowed to win, we won't have him in next year's contest.  Is that what you really want?  What's a POTY contest without Trans?

In answer to your question, as a writer, I'm sort of chained to my laptop as it is, but am becoming a bit of a hermit, as I rarely leave my office ....

Come on people,i need some votes.

In fact vote for anyone of the 4 who are trailing.

If transam wins we will never hear the end of it, he will rabbit on and on never stop.

He is even now practicing his bloody awful singing.

He practices his awful singing, win or lose.  But if he wins this year, he's ineligible to stand next year; that surely is something worth voting for?

Although I suppose of all the candidates who are not going to stand, you might make a better sitting incumbent.

Trans has over zealous supporters?

We have been friends for years and even I voted for Colin.

Any signups after December 6 will be removed.   That is when the topic of POTY started.

Excellent plan Scott.

Any idea when this will be implemented?

A good clean contest with one vote per member guaranteed. (Unless they opened a bunch of empty accounts throughout the year of course).

Forward planning?  What a novel concept for Thailand.
