CityNews – Police have arrested the man responsible for the 200 baht debt murder case reported on earlier this week.

 

42 year old Burmese national Khai Lui Ou, nicknamed Tom, was arrested at his hideout near Wat Ko Klang in Pa Daet. He confessed to the murder, saying that they had an arguement over a 2,000 baht that the victim owed him for a down payment. He also admitted to misleading police by spreading false information that he had fled to southern Thailand.

The entire context feels miserable....in certain circles, a human life is not even worth 2000 THB apparently ?...

 

I guess that I will feel guilty for a few days when will  we pay that price for a good meal and a evening in town.
