Police were called to a house in Lat Prao Soi 90 yesterday after a man apparently shot himself in the head in the dining room.

A suicide note was found on the table citing family and financial problems.

On the floor in a pool of blood was a 62 year old man named by Daily News as "Saen" (an assumed name). He had been shot through the left side of the head exiting through the right.

The corpse was lying by a dining table and on top of a .380 Smith and Wesson gun that had been fired once.

Neighbors said that Saen was a likable guy who was quite wealthy from stock trading.

He had lived at the house with his wife and children but three years ago he lent his wife millions of baht to open a restaurant that failed, they said.

This caused the couple to have an acrimonious divorce.

Wang Thong Lang police and foundation medics sent the body for autopsy.

RIP to to poor man, the outcome is really sad. He was only 62 and could have enjoyed quite a few more years.

Money and a wife often means big trouble in todays world and very much in Thailand.

He should have shot the ex wife :shock1:

regards Worgeordie   Merry Christmas  to all

They should check to see if he was left- handed, a right handed person would put the gun on the right temple. This discrepancy in evidence has happened before....... won’t say anything more about that though.

Reminds me of an old joke:

Why do most men die before their wives do?

...because they want to.

RIP

Sad to know how ended the life. Most of the time have solution to live, often people don't have good friends in life. That is major case for suicide.

Once a taxi driver told me that, he need two wives to run his restaurant successfully, while he is on driving. And i asked him, weather they fight for their rights to be with you ? He laughed loudly and told me 3days with one, and remaining 3 days with another one, with a day off!

He seems a happy man in Thailand.:drunk:

His money was safer in the stock market .R.I.P.

Maybe he wanted to put the wife in hot seat

I used to know  a Thai  man in Phuket at Kata beach, he and his Thai wife ran a bar.

She started gambling and spent all their money and his mothers money, then got

mafia money. Last time I saw him, he was having to sell the bar as the mafia threatened

him and his mom, as his wife left Phuket for northern Thailand and was nowhere to be found.

There are tragic stories every where. This man was left to raise his daughter alone and had

to leave Phuket as well, to escape the mafia.   RIP  to this other man who lost his money to

his wifes failed restaurant. Likely the loss of face with his family was too much to take.
