I do not listen to anything produced after 1978.

I believe you. But I don't mind some good Thai music made afterwards...

Moody Blues were good even when they still played mainstream music.

Procol Harum (...) made a wonderfull album, Hotel Grand.

Much better than A Whiter Shade of Pale - or as Jagger renamed it: A Whiter shame of Bach.

I agree. But no one has come up with anyone/group since 2000. Care to name one?

A favorite tune from late 60s or early 70s - written by David Bowie.

Saw Ian Hunter at the Canyon Club in Agoura hills California a couple of years ago.  He was 76 at the time a jumping around the stage like he was 19.  Voice was a bit more gruff but was a hoot of a show!  I think he played at least 4 instruments that night.   Love "All the way from Memphis" and "Marrionette"

Djanog's solo starts at 2:11, at 2:55 he puts all those lame shredders to shame.  Oh yeah, this was from 1939 and he only had 2.5 fingers on his fretting hand.

Dick Dale was no slouch either, King of the surf guitar!

A great song for the little kids to learn English.
