Over in seconds - video shows risks to tourists travelling in tuk-tuks

A dash cam video in Bangkok showed clearly why tourists take a considerable risk while travelling in tuk-tuks.

At about 2 minutes and thirty seconds of the video two men on a motorcycle come up behind the unsuspecting tourists stopped in a tuk-tuk on the Lan Luang road.

One of the men quickly leans in from the back and grabs the man's necklace before the pair race off. It is over in seconds.

Thai Rath contacted poster Theppatorn Rhujittawiwat who said that he thought the tourists were Europeans and that they were probably followed by the thieves.

It happened on Tuesday at 8pm.

Nang Lerng police said they had not received a report from the tourists and advised them to come in.

At least on Beach Rd you get a hug from a LB before you lose your necklace.

I'd go with the tuk tuk method. Whatever floats your boat ! :coffee1:

The date in the movie is May 22, 2014, at 22.51 o clock?????

  • First thing my Thai wife taught me about these things was tuck in your valuables when traveling on these things

A croc tooth on a leather thong is cool.... but hardly worth stealing
