A well known Thai Youtuber with the nickname "Sia Po" has received a suspended sentence from a Bangkok court after riding his motorcycle outside a university clad only in a pair of pink underpants.

Apirat Chatanon, 25, did not contest a charge of negligent and dangerous driving after turning himself in to Phasi Charoen police.

The charge related to an incident in 2014 that only came to light a few days ago after videos were posted online.

Apirat was given one month in jail and a 4,000 baht fine reduced by half because of his admission.

The jail term was suspended for two years by the Thonburi court on Tuesday.

He had been filmed going the wrong way and mounting the footpath outside Siam University near Petchkasen Soi 44 clad only in pink undies.

Yeah, right! He´s a famous Youtuber. They have special privileges.

Thank goodness he was wearing a helmet......or the fine could have been worse.

His attire is meaningless to me but I don't like to jump out of the way for motos on the sidewalk.
