Went to Thai Watsadu to find some HDPE for some underground work but couldn't see any HPDE specific glands or fittings for the ends. What does one use?

Picture(s) would be appreciated.

To seal the ends around the cable PEA seem to use large heatshrink or amalgamating tape.

Not seen big glands per-sé. What size is the tube and cable?

This is a cable gland, many styles are available.

Are you talking about image.jpeg.86174516c0261e3e7d55cdc65ba0f141.jpegcompression fittings to join sections of HDPE ?

If so, they do them at Global House and I'm sure Thai Watsadu had some last time I went.. ??

CC,

They are for water? OK they join pipes but are not very electrical! Saw them at Thai Watsadu. I thought I may have missed a whole section as there didn't seem to be any fittings in the electrical section specifically for HDPE.  Like say pull boxes...

The joiners shown by @cornishcarlos are available with male or female pipe threads at one end. If you can source glands that will screw into those threads you'll have a water and wildlife proof end.

Personally I'd be looking for big heatshrink and a heat gun.

Most HDP electrical conduit is used as  open end draw tube only with simple low friction bends and glands. Draw boxes mostly comprise custom chambers where long runs rise to break and manage draw length. HDP electrical conduit was never really designed to accommodate a wide range of adaptable fittings.

These are the correct curves and ways to do straight junctions, most ends are metal cobra style fittings that go on a vertical section

I haven't found suitable glands for HDPE so I just seal them up with expandable foam sealant. Any conduit installation of this type is by nature permanent but in an emergency you can dig out the foam. My primary concern is keeping rats out. Sometimes I'll squirt silicone into the pipe ahead of the foam sealant, even if the rats eat through the foam, they're not going to like the silicone.
