Get well soon !!  Of course, the brakes didn't work properly. :shock1:

So now the bus owner will have to defend itself against an employees claim that it has been negligent in repairing reported defects (brakes)

this should be entertaining......

The van had suffered from ABS (Anti-lock braking) system problems for some time.

If this was known it indicates that drivers of the van frequently braked so hard that the ABS was forced to work (but didn't?) Another driver problem...

It's a shocking admission but i'm not surprised.
Thai's have the mentality of if it still works don't bother fixing it.
Safety never gets priority because baht comes first.

This is possible but more likely the driver just said the same old tired lie following a crash that every other "professional" driver trots out. Brake failure.

They admit it had no ABS so it's actually brake failure.
It's a safety feature not an optional extra.
