As header says - whereis nearest place to get the test certificate from Naiharn.

The motorbike repairshop (almost) next to Rawai Hardware will take care of it for you.

But are they are a licensed test center or just a middle man ? I assume they just take a copy of the frame number and go to a licensed station.

No good. I want a one stop certificate. Don't want to go back.

As far as I know there is none anymore in Nai Harnb area, as you asked earlier. There is one in Chalong I think, more or less opposite the traffic lights close to BCIS school.

They are a one stop place BTW, just have to go back a few days later to collect insurance and registration paper.

My lady recently got both the car and her bike checked and re-registered.

She took the car to Rawai for the check as they don't do cars in the Chalong. place.

She submitted the car test certificate from the Rawai place to the Chalong place when they tested the bike, They sent both sets of papers to the appropriate office in Phuket city who sent back the registration discs a few days later. The rego cost is separate from the testing cost and you can't avoid having to go back to collect the rego discs..

Do they test Bikes in Rawai as well as cars? And where is it in Rawai? Is it the old place the owner (really nice guy) and his wife died in a car accident a couple years ago? Off Viset down a small Soi? Need both my Bikes and Truck re-registered and insured. Last year was a pain, had to go to Phuket Town.

Yes, they test bikes in Rawai also. The GF had ours done in Chalong because it is more convenient for us. The Chalong one doesn't do cars.

Both will send the details to the licensing place and rego can be picked up upon return.

Not sure who is running the place now, perhaps the widow?

Thanks for the information!

She died in the crash too. We had been going there for over 10 years and no issues. We had heard the younger guy who worked there was going to get certified to do the testing, but we haven't been around for a few months. We come back in a few weeks to deal with all the vehicle registrations... The joys of having six vehicles registered and insured in two different countries!
