If i am not mistaken, she needs to do it where her Tabian Baan is registered at. IF it is chiang mai, it can be done at the government center in Mae Rim. Takes between 1 to 2 weeks before they EMS it direct to her .house.

thanks for the info. just check can do it in CM. her place cant do passport.

darn take too long to send the passport to her but i remember it take about 1 week to send to my friend but that is in isan. im not sure how fast is the northen side.

Chiang Rai registered people used to be able to make a passport in Chiang Mai as well. This was a couple of years ago, so I'm not sure if this changed.

You are mistaken TB! Thais can apply for their passports in any province. I wouldn't have thought that to be possible - but it is!

My wife had her passport back with name change from Chiang Mai in 3 days

My wife got her biometric passport sent to her in about three days also in Chiang Mai, all she had to do was show her ID card and pay.
