Two killed, two others injured in road crash in Phitsanulok

By The Nation

Two people were killed and two others injured when a car hit a motorcycle on Muang Phitsanulok bypass road early on Tuesday and then collided with a truck.

Pol Capt Anuwat Watanakornkarun, deputy inspector of Muang Phitsanulok police station, said the accident happened at 12.10am on Tuesday.

Anuwat said the car driver, Anuwat Haewphet, 29, was killed. His two passengers, a man and a woman, were injured and taken to Phitsanuvej Hospital.

The motorcyclist who was hit by Anuwat was killed. Police have been unable to identify her as she was not carrying an ID card.

The driver of the 10-wheel truck, Ek Ong-arj, 36, who was not injured, told police that he was delivering a load of pineapples in Bangkok. He said he saw the car speeding behind him before it hit a motorcycle and then collided with the rear of his truck.

Just the hour of the accident would suggest alcohol was involved. Strangely, it sounds like they were all going in the same direction.
