Motorcycle drivers on Thursday morning ride Sola Ryde at Thammasat University, Rangsit campus.

 

PATHUM THANI — More motorbike taxis will soon zooming across a large university campus in northern metro Bangkok, without the pollution or noise.

 

Thammasat University’s Rangsit campus Thursday demoed five electric motorcycles for what’s billed as the country’s first university to offer an electric moto-taxi service.

Well done Thammasat University

 

There are 3 major benefits to be had, as well as a great opportunity for the Government to take hold of multiple serious  issues.

 

1) A large reduction in exhaust fume pollution

 

2) Massive reduction in noise levels ( especially in Cities )

 

3) If the Motos are restricted in some way speed would be reduced, and hopefully along with that speed reduction, the death rate would also be reduced.

 

Now is the ideal time to act
