Now the farmers get sued for defamation and pp ten group will not pay one baht to the farmers, what a failed state

That is the name of the game, screw the poor farmer, confiscate his land that he has been farming for 50 60 years because the government owns all farmland in Thailand,  except what the wealthy own.

Then turn around and tell them what to plant, and if you refuse confiscate, and give it to someone else who will do as they are told.

don't you just love this place.

“They said they would buy each potato for 4.5 baht, a high price. It seemed like we could grow a lot of potatoes for a lot of money.”

What's that old saying about "too good to be true?"

Perhaps farmers will get lucky that Prayut will be the White Knight (Elephant?) to cover all their costs as Election Day looms next year.

pp ten group may have some powerful connections and the farmers will get nothing.  TIT

The farmers said that in November, “reputable-looking” company representatives came to their communities to recruit new potato farmers.

Yeah, I know that guy. He's "naa taa dee". Seems to be everywhere.
