Lampang police arrested a female pharmacist for having allegedly sold methamphetamine to drug abusers and pushers, and police seized 290,000 meth pills from her house.

The arrest was made at 10am on Wednesday at the house of Naphapat Netsuwan, 29, in Airport Villa housing estate in Tambon Phra Bat of Muang district.

Police and troops followed a drug abuser, who walked into the house to buy the pills.

When Naphapat saw the officials, she ran into her bedroom. She was arrested while trying to flee to the back of the house with some bags of drug. The other drugs were found in her bedroom.

During the arrest, her husband, identified as James, fled over the house’s fence.

Police alleged that Naphapat, who has a masters degree in pharmacy, has been selling drug to smalltime pushers and abusers in the district.

She allegedly used instant noodle bags to disguise the drug. Police said they found a lot of instant noodle bags in her bedroom.
