CityNews – Airports of Thailand estimates that Chiang Mai International Airport will see a 10% increase in passengers passing through, and 200 flights per day during Songkran festival.

 

Airports of Thailand PLC (AOT) has revealed the estimated numbers of flights and passengers at six airports during April 11th to 17th. The six airports include Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport, Phuket International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Hat Yai International Airport and Chiang Rai International Airport.

 

The total number of flights in and out of these six airports is estimated at 17,550 flights, which is a 11.9% increase from the previous year during this time. The number of passengers arriving at these airports is estimated at 3.01 million passengers, which is roughly 430,700 passengers per day. An increase of 14.4% compared to last year.
