Does anyone know where I can find Papaya Leaf Extract in Phuket? Recent studies have shown that the platelette count in the blood can increase with the use of this treatment with no bad side effects. It seems to be easy to find in Malaysia.

Get some leaves, put them through a juicer- cheap as chips.

 

From what I understand it can help as a preventative as well as taking once contracted. 2 tablespoons a day but very sour!

I need to do a blood test for platelet count tomorrow for dengue and I was hoping there was a place to do a blood test in Chalong rather than having to go to Vachira and wait all day. Does anyone know where there might be place that does blood testing in Chalong, Rawai, Kata or Karon?

No Thanks, same owners of Bangkok Hospital. Their prices are outrageous! I was seriously ill one time and went there in a life threatening emergency and was sent home for indigestion. One week later I flew to Bangkok and had my gallbladder removed packed full of gall stones. Perhaps they have better staff now but somehow I don't think so.....

Dibuk is a lot cheaper than Bangkok Hospital, and yes, fast and good service.

 

I come there often to have bandages changed, and pay just a little bit more than at a local clinic, but much more care is taken.

Today I went to Mission Hospital in the afternoon. In 3 minutes I had my blood drawn. Paid 163 Baht. 30 minutes later I was handed my blood test results. My platelets are now at 150! So I am completely out of danger. No doctor consultation was required. The service was done professional, very fast and with a big smile. It took 5 minutes to pay the bill and the whole excirsize was painless! Absolutely a great hospital where they care more about their patients than thier patient's money. Exact opposite of Bangkok Hospital!
